Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) attendees voted for Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick in a straw poll, and the results are in.
First place was a tie between South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
Both Noem and Ramaswamy received 15 percent of the vote.
Former Democrat Congresswoman and presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard was third at 9 percent.
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) each had 8 percent.

The Hill reports:
Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) notched 7 percent, Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake received 6 percent, while former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) each got 5 percent.
Conservative pundit Tucker Carlson, independent presidential candidate Robert K. Kennedy Jr., Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley each got less than 5 percent.
Though the CPAC straw poll is likely to have little weight on which running mate Trump chooses, the poll’s results are likely to increase buzz around the first-place finishers.
Noem, Stefanik and Vance have been among the most prominent Republican politicians who were at CPAC and have been floated as potential running mates for the former president.
Scott is in South Carolina ahead of the state’s GOP primary, where Trump is expected to trounce Haley in her home state.

According to RSBN, nearly 1,500 CPAC attendees participated in the straw poll late on Saturday.

Per RSBN:
Trump also was viewed favorably by 96 percent of the attendees, according to the poll, a one percent increase from last year, and 90 percent said he would do better in his second term in office than during his first four years.
In the race for the 2024 Republican nomination, the president trounced his only primary opponent, former S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley, by an 89-point landslide, with the governor receiving just five percent support to Trump’s 94 percent.
Haley received even less support in the poll for vice presidential preferences, coming in last with two percent support.
President Trump also won the straw poll in a landslide during CPAC in 2023. The 45th president received a staggering 62 percent support among attendees for their choice in the 2024 Republican primary race, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who had not yet entered the race during that point, received 20 percent.
CPAC attendees also revealed who they believed would become the 2024 Democrat nominee if the incumbent Joe Biden ultimately decided against running for reelection.
According to the poll, conducted by McLaughlin & Associates, 47 percent of attendees said the former first lady Michelle Obama would become the Democrat nominee, while 32 percent said it would likely be California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
