‘This Is F***ed Up’: Colbert Melts Down In Angry, Unhinged Anti-Trump Rant

By now, it’s no surprise to anyone who’s seen even a few minutes of Stephen Colbert’s late-night schtick that he’s as anti-Trump as they come. But in a recent monologue, he dropped any pretense of hosting a comedy show and delivered one of the most desperate rants of his (or anyone else’s) career.

Here are some of the lowlights, as chronicled by Yahoo:

“This is fucked up,” said the “Late Show” host before a “The More You Know” graphic appeared on the screen.

Colbert quipped that Thursday marked an “insane day” for America while it was a “regular day” for the current GOP front-runner. There were court hearings for two of Trump’s four criminal cases: one in New York for his hush-money case and another in Georgia for his 2020 election interference case.

The moment went viral … but not for the reason Colbert and his leftist cohorts would have preferred.

Some even pointed out how his perspective has changed over the years.

In a separate rant, he took aim at Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis for compromising one of the cases against Trump by apparently carrying out an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate.

According to Fox News:

“Here’s the thing: Yes, Donald Trump and his associates are on trial in this, one of the most important cases in the history of our republic,” he said. “So, and I’ve just got one follow-up question here: Given that if you’re removed from the prosecution, it could delay this trial until after the election, how good was the sex? Good enough to risk democracy over? Because I’ve never had sex that good. You know what really feels good? Donald Trump going to prison.”

“That, my friends, is what they call the real happy ending,” Colbert said as the “Late Show” crowd roared. Even progressives have gnashed their teeth over the Willis-Wade saga, given it’s put the Georgia Trump case in possible jeopardy as the 2024 election begins to take shape.

If those clips aren’t enough to show you how visceral his hatred of Trump is, here’s the entire clip:
