WATCH: Residents Protest Biden’s Arrival ONE YEAR After Toxic Train Crash In East Palestine

Earlier today, Joe Biden finally traveled to East Palestine, Ohio — the site of the toxic train derailment that happened ONE YEAR ago.

Residents lined the streets to greet Biden upon his arrival.

But, it wasn’t the sort of welcome he was probably expecting…

Check out these clips:

The message to Biden was simple and straightforward: “Too Little, Too Late, Joe!”

A couple of little girls held up a pair of hilarious signs in protest, one of which read ‘Don’t Sniff Me!’

Remember that President Trump visited East Palestine to buy McDonald’s for first responders just days after the train derailment disaster:

For comparison, here’s how the people of East Palestine greeted Trump:

Meanwhile, it took Biden a full year to step foot in the city, and when he finally showed up, he just shuffled across the lawn, seemingly confused by the press’ questions.

See for yourself:

When he got around to giving his speech, Biden proceeded to gaslight residents, claiming his administration was “on the ground within hours.”

But, not before oddly searching his pockets for something and coming up empty during the mayor’s speech…

ABC News reported on Biden’s visit to East Palestine:

President Joe Biden visited East Palestine, Ohio, on Friday to mark one year since a train derailment spilled hazardous materials and toxins into the environment that forced many residents out of their homes.

Biden was briefed by officials and gave remarks on the need to hold Norfolk Southern, the railroad operating the freight train, accountable for the Feb. 3, 2023, spill.

“While there are acts of God, this was an act of greed that was 100% preventable,” Biden said. “Let me say it again: an act of greed that was 100% preventable.”

Biden praised the town for its “herculean efforts” in the wake of the tragedy and pledged to continue to support residents.

“I want them to understand that we’re not going home, no matter what, until this job is done and it’s not done yet,” he said. “There’s a lot more to do. The vast majority’s been done but we’re going to stay until the very end until every need is met.”

Biden faced intense scrutiny for not going to the Ohio-Pennsylvania border town in the immediate aftermath of the derailment. Upon his arrival in East Palestine, Biden was met with some signs that read, “Go home, sleepy Joe” and others requesting he “declare the emergency,” according to reporters traveling with the president.

CBS Pittsburgh also commented on the people of East Palestine’s response to Biden’s arrival:

More than a year after a Norfolk Southern train carrying toxic chemicals derailed, people who live in East Palestine continue to deal with anxiety, health concerns and questions.

Many tell KDKA-TV they’re happy President Joe Biden came to town, but they want to know what took so long.

It was a gathering of critics along the main drag. Many held signs that said “too little, too late.” A lot of protesters KDKA-TV talked to weren’t from the area but countless residents have been asking why the president would come and not speak directly to those affected so deeply.

The Babylon Bee wrote a hilarious, satirical article about East Palestine’s ‘second train wreck’ that happened today:

Here’s an excerpt from that piece:

After a little more than one year after the tragic train derailment and chemical explosion in East Palestine Ohio, the town’s residents were forced to witness yet another catastrophic train wreck. Authorities are currently on the scene assessing the damage.

“It’s great to be here in North Philistine,” said Biden to a small crowd of gathered fake supporters. “I’m sorry for your loss. I understand how it feels. I lost my son in a train derailment. Not a joke.”

The sad thing is, the Bee’s satire is almost believable here.
