Special Counsel Robert Hur To Publicly Testify On Biden Classified Docs Probe

Last week, Special Counsel Robert Hur released a damning report detailing his investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents discovered at his personal home and office.

Hur concluded that Biden would not be prosecuted over mishandling the docs.

But, his report brought Biden’s deteriorating mental state to the public eye with his description of Joe as a “sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory.”

Now, Hur is scheduled to publicly testify before Congress about his Biden classified docs probe for the first time on March 12.

Biden has not been too happy with Hur since his report dropped.

Recently, he blasted the Special Counsel over a question about his deceased son Beau…that Hur never even asked him.

Special Counsel Robert Hur is expected to testify in a public hearing before the House Judiciary Committee next month, Fox News Digital has learned.

A source with direct knowledge told Fox News Digital Hur will testify on March 12 in a public hearing on his findings following months of investigating President Biden's improper handling of classified records.

Hur, who released his report to the public last week after months of investigating, did not recommend criminal charges against Biden for mishandling and retaining classified documents and stated that he wouldn't bring charges against Biden even if he were not in the Oval Office.

Those records included classified documents about military and foreign policy in Afghanistan and other countries, among other records related to national security and foreign policy, which Hur said implicated "sensitive intelligence sources and methods."

Hur did not recommend any charges against the president but did describe him as a "sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory" — a description that has raised significant concerns for Biden's 2024 re-election campaign.

Biden has blasted Hur since the release of his report last week, saying his "memory is fine" and that he is the "most qualified person in this country to be president."

Last week, Hur released his final report detailing the results of his year-long investigation into the discovery of documents with classified markings in Mr. Biden's personal office and residence. Hur's team concluded that neither Mr. Biden nor any of his aides would face criminal charges over the documents, which dated from Mr. Biden's time as vice president.

Hur's report said that the president's handling of the documents could have presented "serious risks to national security," and described instances in which pieces of classified information were left in unsecured locations. Still, his team concluded the evidence did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Mr. Biden broke the law by holding onto the sensitive records.

The special counsel's upcoming testimony is likely to spark a firestorm on Capitol Hill. Republicans have already capitalized on the report's characterization of Mr. Biden's memory, referencing apparent lapses in his memory during five hours of interviews with the special counsel.
