Tucker Carlson has gone where no other American media figure is willing to go: Russia.
In addition to sitting down for a wide-ranging interview with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, he has also offered some interesting glimpses into what life is like in the former Soviet Union.
One particularly noteworthy video turns the prevailing narrative surrounding Russian grocery stores on its head.
According to Yahoo:
Tucker Carlson says he went “from amused to legitimately angry” at U.S. political leaders during a recent trip to a Moscow grocery store, where the independent conservative journalist and his crew guessed that a cart full of food would cost about the equivalent of $400 in American dollars – and it came in around a hundred bucks.
“Coming to a Russian grocery store, the ‘heart of evil,’ and seeing what things cost and how they live, it will radicalize you against our leaders,” Carlson said in the video shot on-site as he shopped for eggs, bread, wine and other staples. “That’s how I feel, anyway, radicalized. We’re not making any of this up, by the way. At all.”

Much to the chagrin of those who seek to portray Russia as a failed nation, Carlson had a much different assessment of the country’s capital city.
As reported by The Hill:
Pundit Tucker Carlson called Moscow “nicer” than any city in the United States and praised Russian President Vladimir Putin’s governing of the massive world superpower.
“And the most radicalizing thing for me in the eight days I spent in Moscow was not just the leader of the country,” Carlson said during a recent interview at the World Government Summit, calling Putin “capable.”
“What was very shocking, very disturbing was the city of Moscow, where I’d never been … it was so much nicer than any city in my country,” he said, calling the Russian capital “so much cleaner, and prettier aesthetically — its architecture, its food, its service — than any city in the United States.”
