25th AMENDMENT: Is it Time for Biden to Be Removed from Office?

After an alarming report released by Special Counsel Robert Hur that highlighted Biden’s declining mental state and growing memory issues, many lawmakers and American citizens alike are calling for Biden to be removed from office.

Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney is one such voice. She says it’s time for Biden’s cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment to oust him.

Per Fox News:

Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney is calling for the Cabinet to “explore” the use of the Constitution’s 25th Amendment to remove President Biden from office, following Special Counsel Robert Hur’s “alarming” report.

Hur did not recommend criminal charges against the president for mishandling classified documents. Those records included classified documents about military and foreign policy in Afghanistan, among other records related to national security and foreign policy which Hur said implicated “sensitive intelligence sources and methods.”

Hur, though, described Biden as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” Hur, throughout the more than 300-page report, said “it would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him” of a serious felony “that requires a mental state of willfulness,” and said he would be “well into his eighties.”

Fox News Digital obtained a letter Tenney, R-N.Y., sent to Attorney General Garland Thursday night, sharing her “grave concerns” following the report.

“After concluding that President Biden knowingly and willfully removed, mishandled, and disclosed classified documents repeatedly over a period of decades, Mr. Hur nevertheless recommended that charges not be brought against him,” Tenney wrote. “Special Counsel’s reasoning was alarming.”

Tenney went on to say that Biden “most seemingly lacks the ability to execute his presidential responsibilities.”

“So it is incumbent upon you to explore proceedings to remove the President pursuant to the 25th Amendment to the United States Constitution,” Tenney wrote. “President Biden needs to be charged, or he needs to be removed.”

She added: “There is no middle ground.”

The 25th Amendment allows for removal of a president who becomes incapacitated through any kind of illness, including mental disability.

Ironically, Democrats pushed for years for Trump to be removed from presidency underneath the same amendment.

But now, Biden is facing growing calls for the 25th Amendment to be invoked against him.

The Washington Examiner reported on GOP lawmakers looking to oust Biden:

Republican lawmakers are calling on President Joe Biden’s Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment after special counsel Robert Hur’s report detailed the president’s “significantly limited” memory.

The lengthy report released on Thursday about the investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents did not recommend criminally charging the president. What it did include, however, were several observations about Biden’s mental ability.

Using the report as evidence, several Republican lawmakers called for Biden’s Cabinet to deem him unfit to serve as president under the 25th Amendment.

“This report labels Biden as a ‘well meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.’ That does not describe someone who should be the Commander in Chief of our armed forces and the defender of American freedoms. It’s time for his cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment,” Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) wrote on X.

Sens. Mike Lee (R-UT) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) said on separate social media posts that it was “time” for the 25th Amendment to be invoked. Lee asked, “If ever there were a time to invoke the 25th Amendment, wouldn’t that time be now?”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), in response to a House GOP leadership statement calling Biden “certainly unfit for the Oval Office,” said the president must be removed via the 25th Amendment or impeached.

But, it’s not just politicians who think Biden is mentally unfit for office.
