Snoop Dogg: “Nothing But Love and Respect” For Trump

Snoop Dogg has had a major change of heart with regards to President Trump.

The rapper made waves in a recent interview, where he declared that he has “nothing but love and respect” for Trump.

“Donald Trump? He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me,” Snoop Dogg said during the interview.

He cited Trump’s pardon of Michael Harris, cofounder of Snoop Dogg’s first music label Death Row Records, as a reason for his change in tune.

Rapper Snoop Dogg appears to be changing his tune on former President Donald Trump.

Weeks after shocking the world with his satirical quip that he would “give up smoke” last November, the 52-year-old rapper made waves in a recent interview when asked about the 45th president.

“Donald Trump? He ain’t done nothing wrong to me,” Snoop told the Sunday Times. “He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris.”

“I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.”

During the waning days of his administration, Trump granted clemency to Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry O” Harris, who had been convicted of attempted murder in the kidnapping.

Snoop Dogg’s praise of Trump is a complete 180 from his previous stance.

In the past, Snoop Dogg has been one of Trump’s biggest critics.

He has urged fans not to vote for President Trump, and even made a music video mock shooting a clown named ‘Ronald Klump.’

Trump hit back at Snoop Dogg on social media in response to the music video.

The Business Insider has some more details on Snoop Dogg and Trump’s rocky relationship:

It was a surprising thing to say. Snoop Dogg has been much less complimentary of Trump in the past. Snoop Dogg was among the celebrities who publicly disavowed Trump after he became president in 2016.

That November, Snoop Dogg eagerly told his followers his plans to move to Canada because of Trump. Four months later, Snoop Dogg shared the music video for his song “Lavender,” which featured a clown named Ronald Klump who shared similar features to Trump.

Trump hit back at Snoop Dog on X, then known as Twitter, to criticize the music video.

“Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!” Trump wrote.

In November 2017, Snoop Dogg took it one step further by releasing cover art for his EP, “Make America Crip Again.” The picture featured a corpse labeled “Trump,” according to The Hill.

As some social media users pointed out, Snoop Dog’s U-turn on Trump also comes after he announced in another earlier interview that he is quitting weed.
