LISTEN: Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s 911 Call Released, Wanted To Be Picked Up In Secret

Last week, it was revealed  Austin was hospitalized and diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Austin’s hospital visit was kept secret from the general public and the Bidena admin for several days.

Well, another twist has emerged from Austin’s secret visit now that the 911 call for  Austin has been released.

In the call, an aide of Austin asked operators if the EMT’s response could be subtle.

The aide stated, “Can the ambulance not show up with lights and sirens? We’re trying to remain a little subtle.”

Check out what Fox News reported:

An aide to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin asked EMTs responding to the secretary’s home to be “subtle,” according to audio of a 911 call.

The aide requested that the ambulance not use its sirens or lights during the trip to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The newly-released 911 call is the latest development in Austin’s secret hospital visit, which was kept even from President Biden and other top members of the administration.

“Can the ambulance not show up with lights and sirens? We’re trying to remain a little subtle,” the aide told first responders in the call.

The dispatcher replied that ambulances are legally required to use lights and sirens when driving on main roads, but added that, “Usually, when they turn into a residential neighborhood they’ll turn them off.”

Per CNN:

An aide who called 911 requesting an ambulance to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s house on New Year’s Day asked that the ambulance be discreet and “not show up with lights and sirens” due to a desire by Austin’s camp to be “subtle.”

It’s the latest revelation in what has been a damaging episode for the Pentagon, which has been criticized for a lack of forthrightness about Austin’s condition and hospitalizations. The defense secretary was treated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in December for prostate cancer and later readmitted due to complications, unbeknownst to the White House or other senior national security officials. The incident drew criticism from President Joe Biden and several members of Congress, and has prompted a review by the Pentagon’s inspector general into the matter.

“We’re trying to remain a little subtle,” the aide told the dispatcher in a recording of the call obtained by CNN through the Freedom of Information Act from the Fairfax County Department of Public Safety Communications.

“Yeah, I understand,” the dispatcher responded to the aide, whose name is redacted from the audio.
