The Biden Administration Plans To Remove Statue Of Historic State’s Founder – Replace With Native Americans

The National Park Service is removing the famous statue of William Penn, the founder of Philadelphia, from a Philadelphia park.

The National Park Service intends to replace the statue with something more ‘inclusive’ representing Native American history.

The move has left many furious and demanding that the statue remain.

The folks at Fox News share more on the story:

The “rehabilitation” proposal for Welcome Park is meant to “provide a more welcoming, accurate, and inclusive experience for visitors,” NPS said in a news release. It “includes expanded interpretation of the Native American history of Philadelphia,” and was developed in collaboration with representatives from the Haudenosaunee, the Delaware Nation, the Delaware Tribe of Indians, the Shawnee Tribe and the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma.

The park is named for the ship, Welcome, which Penn took to Philadelphia in 1682. The park was established 300 years later.

The call for public feedback on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, has already resulted in more than 500 comments.

Leftists get a kick out of erasing our history.

They want to cover up what makes this nation great and replace it all in the name of ‘inclusivity.’

The Post Millennial shares more on the story:

The National Park Service, led by National Park Service Director Charles Sams III, who boasts Native American ancestry as does his boss Haaland, runs a substantial portion of Philadelphia’s historic sites. This agency is in charge of nearly 54 acres of historic sites in the Old City neighborhood, where the Penn home once stood. The Biden administration praised Haaland when she was appointed for becoming “the first Native American to serve as a cabinet secretary.” Equity, as the Biden White House recently stated, has “always, always” been “at the center of every policy.”

These sites include Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed and the Constitution drafted and debated, the Liberty Bell, Congress Hall, Franklin Court, and many more buildings and historical exhibits that Americans flock to each year to get a glimpse into the past of our nation’s founding.

There is no mistaking that important historical figures in our nation’s past weren’t without their flaws.

Especially with our treatment of Native Americans.

However, to use that as an excuse to erase our history is disgusting.

We need to highlight all of history to learn from it.

Liberals want to paint our past as something horrifying while ignoring what made this nation great.
