DeSantis has eight days until his campaign dies, or, at least, that’s what two unnamed campaign insiders claim!
According to a recent op-ed appearing in The Hill, one campaign donor and a ‘political operative’ familiar with DeSantis’ campaign say that he will drop out of the race once President Trump secures Iowa on January 15th.
That’s not all though, those same sources also say that DeSantis will formally endorse President Trump once his campaign concludes after Iowa.
WLTR cannot confirm what these campaign insiders are claiming, but the fact that there is an op-ed in The Hill listing these claims shows that they aren’t farfetched.
By now, almost everyone expects the DeSantis campaign to conclude sooner or later. The Florida Governor raised a lot of money, but it reportedly went to the fundraisers and not his campaign!
We will wait and see what becomes of DeSantis, look for more updates on January 15th! Others have begun to whisper these same rumors:
My sources are confirming Ron DeSantis will indeed be dropping out of the GOP Primary after the Iowa loss on Jan 15th.
He will then be returning to FL and endorsing President Trump on Jan 16th.

The Hill featured this op-ed making the January 15th prediction:
I have heard from two people very familiar with the DeSantis campaign — a major donor and a high-level political operative — that if the Florida governor loses the Iowa caucuses to former President Donald Trump as expected on the night of Jan. 15, he will either drop out of the race that night or make his announcement the next morning.
However, DeSantis supporters were not convinced, with Justin Hart pointing out that DeSantis has secured 60,000 commits for the Iowa Caucus.

The Trump Campaign has been saying for months that "insiders are telling them DeSantis is dropping out tomorrow." It was and is complete BS.

The DeSantis campaign’s response was provided by Daily Mail:
The campaign said the anonymous sources named in an op/ed from The Hill are from Donald Trump’s team and meant to plant a false narrative in the days before Iowa’s caucuses on January 15.
‘Team Trump must be getting nervous,’ DeSantis press secretary Bryan Griffin posted to X, formerly Twitter.
‘They’re acting like the leftist media, pushing fake news from a hack op-ed and anonymous sources.’
ADVERTISEMENT‘Ron DeSantis is in this for the long haul,’ he assured.
