Fully Vaccinated Sen. Bernie Sanders Tests Positive For COVID-19

Despite having received all of his COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots, 82-year-old Sen. Bernie Sanders has just tested positive for the coronavirus.

In an announcement on X, Sanders stated that his symptoms are minimal and reiterated how “glad” he is to be fully vaccinated:

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Democrat senator from Vermont has been a vocal supporter of following the CDC’s rules and publicly got his first dose of the vaccine in December 2020.

Here’s Bernie’s statement from the official press release the day he got his first vaxx:

Sanders said, “Following the advice of the Office of the Attending Physician, today I received the safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine. As the vaccine is being distributed, we must all continue wearing masks and engage in social distancing. That is how we will beat this virus and end this terrible pandemic.”

“Safe and effective.”

And yet…here we are, 3 years later.

The coronavirus is still around. The vaccinated keep testing positive. Side effects and deaths in young, healthy people are on the rise.

Yet, Democrats like Bernie (and many Republicans, too) just keep doubling down…

And, it’s not fooling us!

Take a look at X’s response to Bernie’s announcement of his positive COVID test:
