Media Matters Goes On The Offensive, Sues Prominent Conservative AG

Media Matters is one of the foremost enemies of the American people and Freedom of Speech.

The Soros-funded group is one of the entities that orchestrated a campaign against Elon Musk’s X to get advertisers to leave the only free-speech centralized social media platform in the world.

Several conservative Attorney Generals have now opened investigations into Media Matters for their targeting of Musk’s social media platform.

One of those Attorney Generals is none other than Texas AG Ken Paxton, who is considered one of the most conservative Attorney Generals in the country.

Paxton, who is no stranger to conjured-up trouble and unfair targeting, has taken on everyone from the Biden regime to the Covid cult.

Of course, Media Matters, never being one to simply go into the night quietly, has responded to Paxton’s ongoing investigation.

The group announced that they are suing Attorney General Paxton because of his investigation into the group. They want to silence others, but when someone comes for them it’s all about their ‘First Amendment’ rights.

Make no mistake, everyone is entitled to freedom of speech, even the enemies of freedom of speech, but what Media Matters is complaining about is simply the consequence of their clear opposition to the First Amendment in America.

Investigative news outlet Bad Kitty writes: “It seems they are also concerned about discovery materials requested by Paxton. Nobody, that I am aware of, has ever forced Media Matters into discovery.”

The Epoch Times had more details on the lawsuit:

Media Matters is asking a judge in a federal court in Maryland to permanently block Mr. Paxton’s investigation, arguing that the AG office’s request to “rifle through their most sensitive journalistic and organizational documents” would be a violation of their First and Fourteenth Amendment rights.

Mr. Paxton’s investigation didn’t request Media Matters to stop publishing its findings, although Media Matters said in its court filing, “Draft articles [Mr. Hananoki] intended to publish about violent extremism on X were cut for fear of further retaliation from Paxton.”

The Attorney General of Missouri, Andrew Bailey, likewise opened an investigation into the left-wing censorship-industrial complex firm Media Matters.

National Review provided a backdrop for the current lawsuits:

Media Matters, a left-wing media watchdog, claimed in a series of reports last month that Musk’s social-media platform ran corporate advertising alongside white nationalist and antisemitic content.

Many companies, including Disney and Apple, pulled ad money to boycott X due to the published allegations, not wanting their brands to be associated with controversy.

In response, Musk decided to sue Media Matters on November 20 for harming X’s business model and pushing numerous advertisers to leave the platform.
