President Trump has set his sights on an ambitious new goal: winning the blue state of New Jersey.
Unfortunately, almost the entirety of the Northeast is deeply blue, but I will say this: 2024 will not be a normal election.
Joe Biden’s Presidency has been an absolute dumpster fire, and it has gotten so bad that maybe even the people of New Jersey will wake up and vote for the right thing.
Because President Trump views New Jersey as contestable ground, he will begin holding rallies alongside Congressman Jeff Van Drew in the state.
The 45th President recently announced his plans and ambitious new goal via this Truth Social post and even said that he believes “We have a very good chance of winning” in Jersey.
TRUMP will win New Jersey in the 2024 General Election.
I look forward to doing everything I can to help @Congressman_JVD and President Trump make this happen! https://t.co/TAbyVW3Xfu

Breitbart outlined the difficulty of the task:
It is certainly a large undertaking, as New Jersey, which has 14 electoral votes to offer, has chosen the Democrat nominee in every single presidential election for the last three decades — since 1992. In 2016, Trump lost the state by 14.1 percentage points, and in 2020, the gap was 15.9 percentage points.
Red Eagle Politics offered a counter-perspective: “I mean, Trump has said this regarding New York and Illinois in 2016, and he said the same thing in 2020. New Jersey likely won’t be all that contested down the stretch unless Trump is blowing out Biden in the final month and is just playing with house money at that point.”

Newsmax had more on the surprising political path of Congressman Van Drew:
Van Drew was a Democrat for 17 years in the New Jersey Legislature and was first elected to represent the state’s 2nd Congressional District in 2018 as a Democrat.
Van Drew became a Republican in December 2019 ahead of Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign and pledged his “undying support” to the former president.
