WATCH: House Explodes As Police Approach With Search Warrant

An enormous explosion was caught on camera at a home in Arlington, Virginia on Monday night.

As police approached the home with a search warrant at around 8:30 pm, the home suddenly exploded.

Conflicting reports are coming out on what caused the explosion.

There are several reports that the man inside shot off a flare gun numerous times.

In fact, the original police response came after a flare gun was reportedly fired somewhere between 30 and 40 times.

However, Arlington police claim that’s not what caused the explosion.

Cameras caught the fiery explosion:

Here are more details on the explosion from BBC News:

A huge explosion has destroyed at least one home in a suburb of Washington DC as police searched a home, authorities said.

Officers were called to a residence in Arlington, Virginia, at 16:45 local time (21:45 GMT) on Monday after reports of someone firing a flare gun.

When they tried to enter, shots were fired, followed by a big explosion.

Officers on the scene reported only minor injuries while the suspect inside the home is unaccounted for.

The fire department extinguished the blaze.

The incident started when the suspect fired a flare gun between 30 to 40 times, Arlington police said, which did not cause any injuries or property damage.

The suspect is still missing.

Thus far, there are no major injuries reported.

Neighbors reacted to the incident the next day:

With an explosion of such magnitude, many are convinced that there is more to this story than the official report claims.

A name of a potential suspect has been floating around social media, but nothing has been verified yet.

Strangely, the media has been quiet about the story in general…
