Sheila Jackson Lee Tells Voters To Cast Their Ballots On The Wrong Day

Far-left U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) is currently campaigning to be the next mayor of Houston, but things aren’t getting off to a great start. She’s polling behind her Democratic rival in the upcoming runoff election, and her campaign apparently doesn’t even know when Election Day is.

According to Mediate:

The ad shows Jackson Lee touting her record and declaring that “if we’re gonna bring down crime, fix our streets, and bring good paying jobs here, then Houston needs a champion who’s ready to fight for what’s right. And I am.” The ad ends with a graphic telling viewers to vote on December 7th or earlier.

There’s just one problem, which was pointed out by the political ad tracker Medium Buying: that’s not the right date. The election is actually happening on Saturday, December 9th.

Of course, the major flub attracted plenty of mockery on social media:

Some folks even thought she should be prosecuted for spreading election misinformation, since the bar was set so low in order to prosecute Douglass Mackey for posting an anti-Hillary meme.

But Lee’s incompetence and problematic political positions aren’t the only reason Houstonians might have second thoughts about electing her as the city’s mayor.

As Fox News reported:

The Texas Democrat has built a reputation as one of the “meanest” members of Congressto work for, but has also become one of its most recognizable faces, having represented the same district in the House of Representatives for more than 28 years.

Jackson Lee has long been known as one of the most difficult members of Congress to work for, and, according to a 2011 Daily Caller report that cited a number of former staff members, frequently used demeaning language and name-calling when addressing them.

“You stupid motherf—er,” one former employee said Jackson Lee “constantly” called him, while another described an occasion her parents were visiting from out of town and overheard Jackson Lee call her a “stupid idiot” because of a scheduling change. “Don’t be a moron, you foolish girl,” the former aide alleged Jackson Lee told her.

Another former aide alleged Jackson Lee once told them, “You don’t understand. I am a queen, and I demand to be treated like a queen.”

Here’s some more context about her profane rant to staffers:
