MTG Demands Speaker Johnson Creates Jan. 6 Select Committee

New January 6th tapes have been released, but all this has brought is more unanswered questions.

Many are convinced that the tapes demonstrate that the federal government perpetrated the events.

GOP members like Marjorie Taylor Greene want Speaker Johnson to create a Jan. 6 Select Committee to hold those accountable for lying and deceiving the public.

See her call for action here:

Fox News shares more on Sen. Mike Lee demanding action as well:

Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee is calling for an investigation into the now-defunct House January 6 committee, accusing former and current lawmakers who served on the committee of “deliberately” hiding some of the footage from the Capitol riots.

Lee’s comments came after House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., began releasing more than 40,000 hours of footage taken at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, when protesters angry about the 2020 election results entered the halls of Congress.

Highlighting the release of the footage in a series of posts to X, formerly known as Twitter, Lee called into question the character of former Republican representatives Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois.

“Why didn’t Liz Cheney and Adam Kizinger ever refer to any of these tapes? Maybe they never looked for them. Maybe they never even questioned their own narrative. Maybe they were just too busy selectively leaking the text messages of Republicans they wanted to defeat,” Lee wrote in a post to the platform, which included a video that purportedly showed Capitol police officers facilitating the passage of protesters through the building that day.

Sen. Mike Lee, like MTG, has been vocal on X about wanting more investigations into the Jan. 6 farse:

The Guardian writes more on MTG’s stance against the unfair treatment that many experienced on Jan. 6:

Greene’s book, MTG, will be published next week. The Guardian obtained a copy.

Describing January 6, Greene writes: “Several of the Republican congressmen said, ‘We’re going to stay right here and defend the House chamber.’ As they began barricading the door with furniture, I noticed not one Democrat was willing to stay to defend the chamber.”

But that version of events sits in stark contrast to others prominently including that of Jason Crow of Colorado, a Democratic congressman and former US army ranger who worked to help fellow representatives before being, by his own description, the last politician to leave.

Speaking to the Denver Post after the riot, Crow said: “They evacuated the folks on the floor but those of us in the gallery actually got trapped for like 20 minutes as the rioters stormed the stairwells and the doors.

“So, Capitol police actually locked the doors of the chamber and started piling furniture up on the doors to barricade them, while holding their guns out.

“I got into ranger mode a little bit. Most of the members didn’t know how to use the emergency masks, so I was helping them get their emergency masks out of the bags and helped instruct a bunch of folks on how to put it on and how to use it. I wasn’t going to leave the House floor until every member was gone, so I waited until we were able to get everybody out.”

The Guardian and many other news outlets still can not admit that our government perpetrated the Jan. 6 incident.

There is overwhelming evidence that shows that Democrats deliberately orchestrated this event to discredit President Trump and jail his supporters.
