Jack Smith On The Retreat – Retracts 2nd Subpoena In President Trump Investigation

Reports are coming in that special counsel Jack Smith has retracted a second subpoena into the investigation into President Trump and the 2020 election.

Is this a sign of Jack Smith’s investigation losing steam?

We always knew it would result in nothing, but perhaps this is a sign that it will end soon.

CNN covers more on the story:

Special counsel Jack Smith withdrew a subpoena seeking information from former President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign this week, a source familiar told CNN.

This is the second withdrawn subpoena related to Smith’s investigation into fundraising practices following the 2020 election. Earlier this month, Smith withdrew a subpoena seeking records from Save America, a Trump-controlled political action committee, two sources familiar with the matter said.

It’s only time before these false indictments, investigations, and other legal dealings are dismissed and President Trump is vindicated.

The Washington Post covers more on the story:

A spokesman for the special counsel declined to comment on the withdrawal of the Save America subpoena. Smith’s office issued a flurry of similar subpoenas to other groups and individuals earlier this year, probing Trump campaign officials, Republican operatives and others about fundraising related to efforts to overturn the presidential election in the months before and after the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

A representative for Save America declined to comment.

“It is not unusual for prosecutors to cast a broad net in seeking documents at the outset of an investigation,” said Robert Mintz, a former federal prosecutor now in private practice. While it’s difficult to say where this part of Smith’s probe is ultimately headed, Mintz said, the withdrawn subpoena “may simply reflect a pragmatic decision to narrow the scope of the investigation.”

I think this is a sign that Jack Smith is getting desperate.

He is trying to find something specific and is not having any luck so far.

Well, news flash, Jack Smith!

No matter where you look, you won’t find anything.
