Was Mark Meadows an FBI informant?
Popular activist and influencer Ryan Fournier seems to think so and claims that Congressional sources have confirmed this information to him.
That’s a pretty seismic allegation against the former White House Chief of Staff.
WLTR previously reported that Meadows flipped and took a deal from the prosecution in exchange for limited immunity.
I must stress that Fournier is currently the only source making this claim, and it remains to be seen if his allegations carry any weight to them or if they’re merely rumors. Fournier levied the claim via this X social post:
“Allegedly Mark Meadows worked for the FBI as an informant and wore a wire to record all conversations with President Trump, while he was the Chief of Staff to him.
This is not only unconstitutional, but it’s criminal. This is the government we live with. It’s up to us to change that.
I’ve received confirmation from multiple members of Congress and Confidential Informants that this is true.”

Fournier explained: “Not only have I received calls from current members of Congress, I received calls from media, who know that I know about this information. I’ve received calls from former members of Congress, who have also explained the same thing to me.This is worse than Watergate. This is going to be the destruction of the FBI.”

According to The New York Post:
Trump allies have long suspected that Meadows was cooperating with Smith and some have even been apprehensive about talking with the former White House aide over fears that the FBI was monitoring his communications.
Meadows reportedly told Smith’s team that he informed Trump several times in the weeks after his 2020 presidential election loss to Joe Biden that allegations of widespread voting fraud were without merit.
Matt Couch had this to say: “This jeopardized National Security is UNCONSTITUTIONAL AND CRIMINAL.”

“Mark Meadows wearing a wire for the FBI, while working for a President as his Chief of Staff, is one of the worst things in politics that I’ve ever heard,” one user said.

President Trump had some choice words for Meadows, captured by New York Daily News:
“Some people would make that deal, but they are weaklings and cowards,” Trump said on his social media site.
“I don’t think that Mark Meadows is one of them, but who really knows?”
