Prank Call: New Book Reveals Why President Trump is the Most Hilarious President of All Time

Most Democrats do not understand President Trump.

Sure, some might have some policy differences.

But the reason many people don’t like him is because they don’t understand his sense of humor.

They take him seriously when he’s clearly joking, and they think he’s joking when he’s clearly serious.

The latest example?

Well, apparently, President Trump wanted to prank call then-CNN anchor Chris Cuomo!

Cuomo, who was openly anti-Trump on TV, would have definitely been shocked to receive a prank call from the president.

So why didn’t the prank call happen?

The other Cuomo, Andrew, the disgraced former governor of New York, didn’t want to participate.

Still, this would-be prank call proves that not only is President Trump human, but he is extremely likable with a gift for laughter!

This all went down during a very stressful time in 2020.

It’s yet another example of how President Trump is able to ease tensions and get the people around him to relax so that they can excel at their jobs.

Page Six has more details on the prank call that wasn’t meant to be:

An upcoming book claims that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and President Donald Trump once tried to prank-call Cuomo’s little brother, former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, from the White House.

In her new memoir “What’s Left Unsaid: My Life at the Center of Power, Politics & Crisis,” Gov. Cuomo’s former top aide Melissa DeRosa recalls a White House meeting when Trump suggested to Cuomo that they punk his junior bro.

“What’s Chris’ number?” Trump, 77, allegedly requested while picking up the phone in the Oval Office before having a meal together, according to the tome, out on Oct. 24.

When Cuomo was confused, DeRosa writes that Trump added, “Your brother. What’s his number? It would be hilarious if we prank-called him right now.”

Cuomo’s phone had been taken by security per protocol, and he repeatedly dodged, the book reports, by saying he thought Chris “is busy right now,” but that he’d pass along a message.

“Oh, come on, it would be so funny!” Trump allegedly protested before they turned their attention to their munching.

Finally, the former president relented by saying, “OK, fine. But, it would have been fun,” before an assistant told him the day’s menu.

Prank calls are very common in politics and entertainment.

The fact that President Trump wanted to do a prank call from the Oval Office proves that the position of power did not jade him.

Instead, he stayed in touch with his humanity.

He was able to reach across the aisle to work successfully with his political enemies.

And he was willing to have fun while doing so!

Trump’s sense of humor proves that he’s a happy person.

A loving person.

It takes a lot of courage and self-confidence to crack jokes, even at yourself.

Of course, the Left doesn’t want to acknowledge anything that President Trump does correctly.

Here’s how the Washington Post covered Trump’s hilarious sense of humor:

Was he joking or not? That was the big question emerging from President Trump’s Tulsa rally on June 20, when he said “the bad part” about widespread coronavirus testing is the increased number of cases it reveals. “When you do testing to that extent, you’re going to find more people, you’re going to find more cases,” Trump said. “So I said to my people, ‘Slow the testing down, please.’ ”

The walkback from various administration officials was quick and predictable: The remark was “made in jest,” “tongue in cheek,” just another presidential joke. Trump’s own walkback of the walkback — “I don’t kid” — may have struck some people as confusing. But in reality, it may well have provided a clue to the elusive nature of this president’s often inscrutable sense of humor.

Inscrutable because, for one thing, it so often has to be explained afterward. His famous appeal during the 2016 campaign to “Russia, if you’re listening,” to help find Hillary Clinton’s emails, we learned only later, was simply a joke. His suggestion to police officers in 2017 to “don’t be too nice” when putting suspects into the backseats of squad cars was, according to the White House, another example of Trump’s joshing. His idea that injecting disinfectant might be a cure for the coronavirus? Just “a sarcastic question to reporters,” Trump insisted after the blowback.

“He made a joke,” press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters in 2017 after another of Trump’s loony comments (challenging Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to an IQ test). “Maybe you guys should get a sense of humor and try it sometimes.”

Regardless of what you think about President Trump, I think we can all agree that the world could use a little more little and humor with everything going on right now.

Things are looking grim in the Middle East.

The Russia/Ukraine war rages on.

And China is making moves in the East.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden looks like he’s falling asleep all the time.

Now more than ever, we need President Trump’s leadership, humility, and his ability to connect with the people!
