President Trump is famous for shining a light on problem situations and problem people and using sunlight as a disinfectant.
I’m not saying that’s what’s going on here, but I am saying it has piqued my interest and made me do one of these: 👀
I’m talking specifically about President Trump’s speech the other night in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Full link is here in case you missed it:
In that speech, President Trump suddenly stops to tell a story he had never told before about the raid on Soleimani.
He surprises the crowd by announcing that Israel was supposed to do that raid with us, and then backed out at the last minute.
That was under Netanyahu’s leadership.
Trump said he was disappointed when that happened.
Very interesting he would choose now to share that story.

Shorter version here:
Last night Trump made some interesting statements:
He says he will never forget that Netanyahu 'let us down' and that it was a 'terrible thing'
He praised Imran Khan (friend of Princess Diana) as his friend.

Could be much ado about nothing, or it could be classic Trump shining a spotlight.
He has since posted several very pro-Israel messages to make clear he stands with Israel and the Jewish people:

There was also this moment and even if you watch with the sound down, the body language is very apparent.
This is an older clip but perhaps shows that the close friendship between the two has soured?
What do you make of this?

If President Trump is shining a giant spotlight on Netanyahu, is it because a stand-down order was given?
A 6-hour stand-down order?
Patrick Bet-David asked yesterday morning on his podcast whether there was a stand-down order given, and I think that’s a fair question.
Why would you ever do that, you ask?
Simple: you want to be brought into a war.
You want to be given justification on the world stage for wiping out your enemy.
You can’t strike first, then you’re the aggressor.
PBD is about as mainstream and level-headed as they come.
Here he is asking if a stand-down order was given:
“They’re live streaming the killing of jews. Was somebody in the government said ‘stand down’? That’s a legitimate non conspiracy question…”@charliekirk11 gives his thoughts on Israel Palestine war and talks about why he is suspicious about Israel government. (EP 314) pic.twitter.com/whtlHz4214

Oh my….
I sure hope that’s not the case.
Shifting back to the Soleimani story, it’s so interesting to back in time now and look at the story in light of what President Trump just shared.
Here is a story we wrote 4-years ago after Soleimani was taken out — see how it holds up after 4-years and now that we know the previously-untold story about Israel backing out of the raid:
Netanyahu Praises Trump For Taking Out Soleimani, Says Israel Stands By U.S.
The U.S. has a true ally in Israel and their PM Benjamin Netanyahu, who has praised President Trump for taking out mututal enemy Qaessem Soleimani.
In response to Trump ordering the successful precision strike against the Iranian commander, Netanyahu spoke,
“President Trump is worthy of full appreciation for acting swiftly, forcefully and decisively. We stand fully by the United States in its just battle for security, peace and self-defense.”
He added,
“Just as Israel has the right of self-defense, the United States has exactly the same right.”
Check out Netanyahu’s breaking reaction to the news of Soleimani’s death that hit Twitter:

The New York Post has more to say on this:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised President Trump on Friday for approving the strike that killed top Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani after cutting short a visit to Greece to monitor the situation from Jerusalem.
“President Trump is worthy of full appreciation for acting swiftly, forcefully and decisively,” he told reporters before departing Greece to head back to Israel.
“We stand fully by the United States in its just battle for security, peace and self-defense,” Netanyahu said, adding that “just as Israel has the right of self-defense, the United States has exactly the same right.”
“Qassem Soleimani is responsible for the death of American citizens and many other innocent people. He was planning more such attacks,” he said.
Netanyahu had earlier instructed government officials not to comment about the killing and they also were mum on whether Israel had provided any intelligence or support for the mission.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Defense Ministry put the country’s embassies and offices on “high alert” across the globe amid Iranian threats of revenge against the US and the Jewish state for the killing of the powerful commander of the elite Quds Force.
An Israeli ski resort near the Syrian border that was the site of a previous missile attack was shuttered due to concerns of a possible strike, the Times of Israel reported.
Defense Minister Naftali Bennett also convened a meeting at the military headquarters in Tel Aviv of security and intelligence chiefs to deal with the possible repercussions of the Soleimani killing, according to the news outlet.
Reuters added the following on Netanyahu’s statement:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday that the United States had the right to defend itself by killing senior Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani.
“Just as Israel has the right of self-defense, the United States has exactly the same right,” Netanyahu said in a statement issued by his office.
“Qassem Soleimani is responsible for the death of American citizens and many other innocent people. He was planning more such attacks.”
