GOSPEL MESSAGE: Running the Victor’s Race

It’s Sunday, and that means it’s time for our weekly Gospel message.

Got a double header for you today!

We go first to our good friend Pastor Robb Goodman:

Today’s livestream message is a very important one that will encourage you in your walk with the Lord Jesus.

The message is titled, Running the Victor’s Race.

This message talks about how the apostle Paul spoke on many occasions about how we have to finish our race and how we are to run this race in  our lives.

We will discuss in detail many great scriptures and also study about the ancient Olympic races that Paul spoke about in many scriptures in the New Testament.

You will truly be encouraged in your Faith as you listen to today’s message.

I pray that the Lord would enlighten your heart and open up your spiritual eyes to these great truths that the Apostle Paul  spoken about.

It’s amazing to me the number of times in the letters that he wrote that he mentioned these things.

I will also go into a deep historical account about the Olympic Games and give you great detail about them.

I pray that this message will encourage you and lift your spirit high.

God bless you for being a part of Noah’s great team.

May the Lord bless each and everyone of you!

Please enjoy:

For the second part of our Double Header, we go to Dr. Michael Heiser.

I was listening to this yesterday and I thought it was so fascinating I had to share it with you.

Dr. Heiser explains what are the “Elohim” and how we often get that wrong.

He also explains how a Godhead Trinity is not solely a New Testament concept, but is actually all over the Old Testament.

Fascinating stuff.

Heiser is rock solid, and never wavers from “basic Christianity” — i.e. “One God” — but he also pushes our boundaries of what we “think” we know.

For example, Psalm 82 — why is God (YHWH) sitting in a great assembly of other “gods”?

Did you know that’s in your Bible?

How do you explain that one?

Hesier breaks it all down in the video below.

It’s eye-opening and I think you’ll really enjoy it…

Psalm 82

A psalm of Asaph.

God presides in the great assembly;

    he renders judgment among the “gods”:

“How long will you[a] defend the unjust

    and show partiality to the wicked?[b]

Defend the weak and the fatherless;

    uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.

Rescue the weak and the needy;

    deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

“The ‘gods’ know nothing, they understand nothing.

    They walk about in darkness;

    all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

“I said, ‘You are “gods”;

    you are all sons of the Most High.’

But you will die like mere mortals;

    you will fall like every other ruler.”

Rise up, O God, judge the earth,

    for all the nations are your inheritance.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
