UPDATE On Flight Attendant Found Dead With A “Sock” In Her Mouth

An American Airlines flight attendant who was found dead with a ‘sock’ in her mouth, has now been identified.

Police say that 66-year-old Diana Ramos suffered a ‘sudden death‘, though they are also claiming that her death was ‘suspicious.’

Beyond this new update, not much is being reported about the death of Ramos, and the seemingly contradictory statements surrounding her death have only raised more questions.

WLTR will continue to provide more updates as they become available. ABC News 7 initially reported on September 27, 2023:

One aviation newsgroup provided more details on Ramos’ untimely death and pictures of the 66-year-old woman.

NBC 10 reports:

Small told NBC10 that officials are investigating the incident as a suspicious death, though he said, Ramos was believed to have suffered a “sudden death” and there were no signs of forced entry into the hotel room.

Also, she was “on several medications,” according to Small.

New York Daily News provided this quote:“Everybody is still trying to figure out what happened and why her crew just left her.”

Daily Mail noted:

Ramos’ body has been transported for an autopsy at the medical examiner’s office, but results have not been released as of Thursday.

No arrests have been made as the Philadelphia police investigating the case as a potential homicide. It’s unclear why Ramos’ flight crew left her behind.
