New York Governor Declares State of Emergency

A State of Emergency has been declared in New York by Gov. Hochul.

Surely the Emergency is the fact that New York City is being overrun by illegals, right?

No.

Definitely not that.

No, the Emergency is the fact that New York City is under water, and to be fair it does look very bad.

Torrential rains have caused flash flooding all over New York City and the videos are truly a sight to behold.

If there’s one thing I know about water it’s that when water is rising, you don’t go DOWN and get trapped in tunnels.

Seems like a very bad idea!

Gov. Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency across much of the New York City area Friday after torrential storms flooded the Big Apple’s subways and streets.

The order allows the state to swiftly provide resources locally in case rescues, evacuations, or other services are needed.

The downpours hit hardest across parts of Brooklyn with more than 3 inches of rain falling in a single hour, according to data from the state meteorological arm.

That’s triple the amount state officials said yesterday they expected the storms were expected to produce at their zenith.

“I am declaring a State of Emergency across New York City, Long Island, and the Hudson Valley due to the extreme rainfall we’re seeing throughout the region,” said Hochul, in a post to Twitter, which is now formally known as ‘X’. “Please take steps to stay safe and remember to never attempt to travel on flooded roads.”
