Trump Will Not Attend Republican Presidential Debate Tonight, Here’s What He Will Do Instead

President Trump has made it clear that he will not attend tonight’s debate hosted by Fox Business and Univision, instead, he will go to Michigan to speak with UAW workers on strike.

Trump who is the Republican presidential candidate front runner has declined to participate in the debates due to the fact the RNC forces all candidates to sign a pledge promising to support the GOP presidential candidate if they win.

The 45th president also believes his lead is so big that attending debates will not be too beneficial to his campaign.

Here’s what CNN reported:

Donald Trump, the front-runner in the GOP presidential primary race, may not get a welcome from union leaders as warm as President Joe Biden did in Michigan when he skips the second GOP debate and instead addresses current and former union members outside Detroit.

But his decision is laying the groundwork for a 2024 general election battle over the working-class voters that helped propel him to the White House in 2016 but favored Biden in 2020. It’s the clearest signal yet of the campaign’s shifting focus to the general election and specifically a potential Trump vs. Biden rematch.

Ahead of Trump’s visit – which comes just one day after Biden was greeted by UAW President Shawn Fain and made the unprecedented move of joining striking autoworkers on the picket line – the president’s campaign is rolling out a new ad criticizing Trump’s treatment of autoworkers. Titled “Delivers,” the 30-second contrast spot is the Biden campaign’s first to directly attack the former preside

As of right now Trump Force One just took off to Michigan look:

Here’s what WILX reported:

President Donald Trump will be traveling to Michigan Wednesday to deliver a speech at an auto parts supplier as the United Auto Workers (UAW) union continues its negotiations with General Motors, Ford and Stellantis.

Trump is expected to deliver a prime-time address at Drake Enterprises in Clinton Township.

Unlike President Joe Biden, he will not have any official involvement with UAW leadership during his trip.

Because Trump will be in Michigan, he will not participate in the second GOP presidential debate on Wednesday night in Simi Valley, California. This is the second debate Trump has not participated in.
