UPDATE: Senior Democrat Reveals Plan To Derail Biden Impeachment

It’s no secret that there is currently a war raging inside the GOP.

Rep. Matt Gaetz is actively attempting to remove Speaker McCarthy from his chair despite McCarthy making good on earlier promises to impeach Joe Biden.

WLTR previously reported that Gaetz was allegedly working with Democrat Congressman Jamie Raskin to unseat McCarthy, though it is unclear if these plans ever materialized.

Now Democrats seem to be taking full advantage of Gaetz’ disdain for McCarthy and have devised a clever plan to thwart the looming Biden impeachment.

According to sources, high-ranking Democrat Katherine Clark (D-MA) has revealed that Democrats will help McCarthy keep his job—but on several conditions.

Clark told Politico that Democrats will rally around McCarthy, protecting his role as Speaker of the House, if he agrees to quash the Biden impeachment and agree to more funding for Ukraine.

Gaetz recently had this to say regarding McCarthy’s performance as speaker:

“These committees have done nothing to reduce inflation, they have done nothing to actually constrain the Biden govt.

We can set up committees and have hearings and yell at people but at the end of the day we still send the check to fund a weaponized govt, having a weaponized subcommittee is little relief to the American people.

And if any of these were serious we would be sending out subpoenas and compelling process the way Jan 6th committee did… We are playing patty cake with the Bidens.”

Maria Bartiromo: "How about the fact that he [McCarthy] set up a China select committee to keep china accountable and of course he has launched this enquiry into impeachment potentially for President Biden, is that not what you want?"

Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe decried efforts by Gaetz and other conservative Republicans to shut down the government.

Breitbart reports:

“We want him to live up to the agreement [on toppling spending] that he made [with President Biden].

We want to get disaster aid out. We want to continue our support for Ukraine. And we want them to end this sham of an impeachment inquiry.”

The Massachusetts Democrat hopes to force McCarthy to choose between failing to prevent a shutdown, thus imperiling his speakership, or keeping the government open with Democrat support while further eroding his support inside his own conference.

The Epoch Times previously reported that Clark was critical of efforts to impeach Biden over his numerous bribery scandals.

Gaetz recently chronicled Biden’s malfeasance via a Newsweek article he penned:

In December of 2015, Hunter Biden had a pivotal meeting at the Four Seasons in Dubai with Burisma owner Mykola Zlochesvky and Pozharsky.

They asked him if the Obama-Biden administration could interfere in the investigation against Burisma.

Hunter’s business partner and fellow Burisma board member Devon Archer told the House Oversight Committee that the Burisma executives asked Hunter if “D.C.” can “help” them deal with the prosecutor’s probe.

Devon Archer said he was told by Pozharsky that Hunter “called D.C.”
