Sound Of Freedom Sets NEW Records!

I have a confession to make—I haven’t seen it yet, but I plan to!

This summer has been hectic, but this hasn’t stopped me from taking notice of the film that everyone is talking about—Sound of Freedom.

The film defied almost every expectation to become a box office hit in The United States, and now the film is achieving success and hitting new records internationally.

According to sources, Sound of Freedom is now topping charts all over Latin America and is currently ‘dominating’ in 18 countries.

The Sound of Freedom official X page and the film’s distributing studio announced last week: “Sound of Freedom has impacted audiences worldwide, becoming the #1 movie in Latin America.”

Washington Examiner spoke to Angel Studios:

Angel Studios, the distributor of Sound of Freedom, told the Washington Examiner that the independent film attracted nearly two million viewers across 18 Latin American countries.

“We’re seeing packed theaters, standing ovations, widespread enthusiasm, and strong word-of-mouth from Buenos Aires to Mexico City to Bogota to Caracas, Lima, and beyond,” Jared Geesey, Angel Studios chief distribution officer, said

Despite the film’s popularity, one user explained: “Sound of Freedom is now one of the Top 10 films of 2023 in the U.S., and is currently the most popular film in 18 Latin American nations, but activists at The Military Times just got the film cancelled from showing at U.S. military bases.”

In case you missed the box office hit or are considering giving it a watch, here’s the official film release trailer for the movie everyone is talking about.

Newsweek provided numbers for the U.S. release of Sound of Freedom:

The film about child sex trafficking became the surprise hit of the summer in the U.S., making $182.58 million, despite only having a budget of $15 million.

Sound of Freedom also out performed mega-franchises, Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part One and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny to become the 10th highest grossing movie of 2023 so far.
