Is a Biden impeachment coming soon?

GOP lawmakers have ramped up their rhetoric surrounding a potential Biden impeachment, with Kevin McCarthy laying out how an impeachment inquiry would work, and Rep. Comer recently telling us that he believes they have the votes necessary to proceed.

According to Newsmax, GOP lawmakers are hopeful that a Biden impeachment will come to fruition by mid-September. This puts us 1 week away from that timeline.

GOP lawmakers have been increasing their calls for a Biden impeachment since the start of September—the rhetoric is clearly heating up.

Congressman Byron Donalds told GOP voters: “What we’ve been doing in GOP Oversight since we took back the majority is letting the evidence speak for itself. We follow the evidence. We didn’t walk in with a mission to impeach Biden. But after months of investigation, it’s clear to me that it is time to begin impeachment.”

Rep. Comer recently told Newsmax:

“I think the House will vote in September. And this is all up to [House Speaker] Kevin McCarthy [R-Calif.], but he and I have had several conversations.

I know [House Judiciary Chair] Jim Jordan [R-Ohio] has spoken with him many times, as well.

“I would predict that in the middle of September, we have a vote. I would predict that it passes.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene alleged: “There was a conspiracy to cover up Biden’s crimes at the highest echelon of the Democrat party and we need an impeachment inquiry to get to the bottom of it.”

Rep. Mike Johnson stated: “The evidence is overwhelming. It’s time for an impeachment inquiry into President Biden.”

Fox News reports that Rep. Claudia Tenney is calling for Attorney General Merrick Garland’s impeachment as well, Tenney had this to say:

“We have a Department of Justice under, I think, the most corrupt attorney general we’ve ever had. I call him a dirty cop, Merrick Garland, for what he’s been doing.

Not prosecuting people and allowing the investigations to go forward. I mean, we have incredible evidence in plain sight. This evidence is in plain sight.

And it’s not like the Nixon era where, there were some people that worked for Nixon that committed a crime, and then he covered it up.

This is the Bidens committing crimes in plain sight and him engaged in a cover-up using the FBI and the DOJ. And they’re all willing parties to this. I think they all need to go…

I’ve actually called for the impeachment of Merrick Garland because he’s sort of the head of the snake. That will allow us to continue with the investigations.”
