I Just Agreed With David Hoggs?

What is going on here?

Did I just agree with David Hoggs?

Or perhaps more accurately, did he just agree with me?

And perhaps more importantly, did he actually just agree and finally seem to understand our Constitution?

Look, I’m not ready to appoint him the new head of the NRA, but this is rather stunning.

Earlier today, news broke that the New Mexico Governor was suspending gun rights due to a new “State Emergency” she had declared.

It went very badly for her, almost immediately, with many telling her you don’t just get to suspend Constitutional Rights because you decided so.

Even Elon Musk asked: “how soon can we remove this person from office?”

More on that below.

But then of all people David Hoggs chimed in and seemed to agree with me and Elon Musk and the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution:

But that’s not the full story.

DC Draino had a great find, apparently Hoggs and Ted Lieu had extremely similar Tweets.

Did they both just come up with almost the exact same language at the same time?

Really?

Do you believe in coincidences?

Or perhaps were they both given Talking Points from on high?

Yeah, I think I’m with DC Draino…

I think they were told what to post, rather than a case of a stolen Tweet.

But could be either:

Here’s the rest of the story, in case you missed it:

Elon Musk: “How soon can this person be removed from office?”

Democratic Governor of New Mexico Lujan Grisham issued an emergency order on Friday night that suspends the right to carry guns openly in public.

Gov. Grisham issued an emergency order that suspends the rights for residents to carry open and concealed guns across Albuquerque and other parts of Bernalillo County.

Grisham declared the gun ban in an emergency public health order after an 11-year-old was shot outside of a minor league baseball game.

Here’s the moment she declared the order:

Here’s what Fox News reported:

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, a Democrat, issued an emergency order on Friday suspending the right to carry guns in public across Albuquerque and the surrounding Bernalillo County for at least 30 days following recent instances of gun violence.

The governor said she expects the order to face legal challenges but that she believed she needed to act in response to recent gun-related deaths, such as an 11-year-old boy who was shot and killed outside a minor league baseball stadium earlier this week.

“When New Mexicans are afraid to be in crowds, to take their kids to school, to leave a baseball game — when their very right to exist is threatened by the prospect of violence at every turn — something is very wrong,” Lujan Grisham said in a statement.

The suspension was classified as an emergency public health order, and applies to open and concealed carry in most public places, excluding police and licensed security guards. The restriction is connected to a threshold for violent crime rates met only by the Albuquerque area.

If the courts don’t strike this order down quickly then many other Democratic governors will start to issue “public health orders” in order to ban guns.

Here’s what the Associated Press reported:

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham on Friday issued an emergency order suspending the right to carry firearms in public across Albuquerque and the surrounding county for at least 30 days in response to a spate of gun violence.

The Democratic governor said she expects legal challenges but was compelled to act because of recent shootings, including the death of an 11-year-old boy outside a minor league baseball stadium this week.

Lujan Grisham said state police would be responsible for enforcing what amount to civil violations. Albuquerque police Chief Harold Medina said he won’t enforce it, and Bernalillo County Sheriff John Allen said he’s uneasy about it because it raises too many questions about constitutional rights.

The firearms suspension, classified as an emergency public health order, applies to open and concealed carry in most public places, from city sidewalks to urban recreational parks. The restriction is tied to a threshold for violent crime rates currently only met by the metropolitan Albuquerque. Police and licensed security guards are exempt from the temporary ban.

Citizen Free Press knows what’s happening in New Mexico:

Even Elon Musk has weighed in and summed it up perfectly, quote:

At risk of stating what should be obvious, deliberately violating the Constitution is next-level illegal.

How soon can this person be removed from office?

And in response to Tim Pool saying Police Should Arrest Her Immediately, Musk replies “Yes”:
