Bidenomics Is Working As Designed: Food Prices Expected to Rise Through 2024

It doesn’t take a genius to know that the price of food and grocery bills are higher now than ever before.

Food prices started climbing up in 2021 and have not stopped.

Democrats are taking this horrible economic news as a win.

Just The News reports on the spin the Biden admin is putting on the rising prices:

Food prices are rising more slowly than the fever pitch inflation spike earlier in the Biden administration, but those prices are still increasing.

“Food prices are expected to continue to decelerate but not decline in 2024,” USDA said. “In 2024, all food prices are predicted to increase 2.8%, with a prediction interval of -2.0% to 7.9%. Food-at-home prices are predicted to increase 2.1%, with a prediction interval of -5.1% to 9.9%, and food-away-from-home prices are predicted to increase 5.1%, with a prediction interval of 2.7% to 7.5%.”

Food costs soared in particular in 2022, rising by 9.9%. While 2022 saw the largest spike, prices had already begun rising earlier in the Biden administration.

D.C. bureaucrats love to muddle and obfuscate. It’s what they do.

Here, they are trying to confuse the issue by saying food price increases are decelerating.

But they know and we know that slowing down the increases doesn’t mean the prices are going down.

The prices are just increasing more slowly.

It’s like falling off a cliff.

What’s the difference between falling off a cliff at the rate of 75 m.p.h. or 50 m.p.h.?

Nothing – you are still falling off a cliff.

Same with Bidenomics.

As Joe claims his Inflation Reduction Act is helping Americans. The truth is far different.

Every American is getting poorer.

Food is more expensive. Fuel and utilities are more expensive. Wages are stagnant.

Americans need help with rising costs of living but another one of Biden’s great ideas is not the answer.

When we talk about rising food prices, we cannot forget the role in this tragedy played by Biden’s expansion of the food stamps program.

The New York Post reports:

A push by the Biden administration to increase food stamp benefits to the tune of $1 trillion could be responsible for a 15% rise in prices at the grocery store, according to a government watchdog report.

The Department of Agriculture rolled out revised nutritional standards for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in 2021 that expanded the program by 27% on average from pre-COVID pandemic levels, the Foundation for Government Accountability found.

“USDA cooked their books to hike food stamp benefits by 27% — the largest permanent increase in program history. And they bypassed Congress to do it,” Jonathan Ingram, vice president of policy and research at the Foundation for Government Accountability, told Fox News, which first reported on the study.

“Data show the Biden administration’s overreach led to massive spikes in grocery prices. They’re feeding inflation, not stopping hunger.”

The combination of multiple policy failures, unchecked spending, endless wars, compromised leadership, and domestic catastrophes spells a lot of trouble for the U.S.

And, we are in a presidential election cycle.

It could be a very cold and hungry winter for a lot of Americans.

Let’s hope everyone remembers that Joe Did That.
