Scary Days For A Small Town – When All The Police Quit

A small, Midwestern town is in crisis thanks to the democrats’ war against law and order in America.

The good folks of Goodhue, Minnesota, are the latest victims of defund the police because the city’s entire police force resigned last week.

“Our officers were very visible,” shared a concerned local Roxanne Fisher. “We just knew if we needed them, they would be there.”

That will not be the case after August 23, when the last policeman turns in his badge.

It seems that while the community felt safe and sound, the dedicated public servants in the PD did not have mutual feelings.

Police Chief Josh Smith was the first to resign as he plans to take a similar position in a neighboring town making more money.

Smith told the mayor and city council that the city wasn’t offering enough money to retain officers when other communities and metro areas were willing to pay better.

Right now…trying to hire at $22 an hour, you’re never going to see another person again walk through those doors, Smith told the council. He said smaller departments were offering at least $30 an hour.

Goodhue hasn’t matched other cities’ incentives such as sign-on bonuses, which Smith said affected his ability to recruit.

He told the council he had zero applicants or prospects to hire another officer.

It’s unsurprising that Goodhue is now without its own police force given the stark economics and the defund/underfund the police attitude. No one wants to work or live in a place like that.

This is not an isolated incident. The war against American families and communities, and the men and women who protect them is brutal and ongoing.

Other instances of entire police departments resigning have happened in recent years.

In 2021, a Missouri town suffered the same catastrophe because of similar budget issues but also due to

protests in 2020, [when] police officers were pressured to resign, to be held accountable for their actions including murder, and face defunding from opponents who advocate for the funding to go to other initiatives.

Funding and support for local police has continuously fallen since the Summer of BLM Riots in 2020.

Defund the police, they said. It will be good, they said.

The Democrat propaganda is working, and it’s we, the people, who will always suffer.
