Why take a plea deal if you did nothing wrong?
This is exactly the line that President Trump has taken with the press after being questioned about the possibility of entering into a plea agreement for any of his pending cases.
When asked by reporters “Is there any chance you take a plea deal in Georgia?” President Trump responded with: “We did nothing wrong. We Don’t ever take a plea deal. We don’t take plea deals. It’s a wise guy question.”
It remains to be seen if any of the charges against the former President result in a conviction and even if they did, would this prevent you from voting for him?
Conservative journalists, activists, and pundits all echoed a similar ‘mic-drop’ sentiment:
JUST NOW: Before leaving Iowa, Donald Trump tells reporters he will never take a plea deal, specifically in Georgia.

Forbes reports:
Though the reporter asked about the election interference case in Georgia, Trump used the question to critique his three indictments, claiming they were “brought out by Biden, who can’t even put two sentences together.”

Daily Mail explained:
If Trump is indicted in Georgia, it would follow his federal indictment earlier this month related to his attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
Unlike with federal convictions, however, if re-elected president, Trump could not attempt to pardon himself if convicted of state crimes in Georgia.
He could also undergo a state trial if he’s in the Oval Office. Traditionally, the Justice Department doesn’t prosecute presidents but state attorneys have no such rule.
