COVID 2.0? Joe Biden Reportedly Facing Demands to Declare National Emergency

According to some energy industry groups, Joe Biden appears to be facing demands to declare a climate emergency similar to the COVID-19 plandemic.

A top advocate for the U.S. oil and gas industry told Just the News it appears the administration is leaning in that direction.

“They’re leaning to that direction,” U.S. Oil and Gas Association President Tim Stewart told Just the News.

“If you grant the president’s emergency powers to declare a climate emergency, it’s just like COVID,” he added.

A climate emergency would essentially be COVID 2.0. and decimate the country.

The calls for Biden to declare a climate emergency appear to be growing – amid what is being projected to be the hottest month in recent history and concerns the heat is the result of global warming created by greenhouse gas emmisions.

Oregon Rep. Earl Blumenauer recently introduced legislation to require Biden to make such a declaration that also was co-sponsored by 62 congressional Democrats.

More recently, the Guardian newspaper published an op-ed reading, “Biden must declare a climate emergency. And he must do so now.”

According to Congressional Research Service, presidential emergency powers “may be exercised in the event that the nation is threatened by crisis, exigency, or emergency circumstances,” and those powers may be stated explicitly or implied by the Constitution.

“They can literally do exactly what they did in COVID,” Stewart said.

No ’emergency’ supersedes the U.S. Constitution, and the executive branch cannot unilaterally suspend your rights.

And any law passed by the legislature that violates the constitution is null and void.

Yet, the indoctrinated masses will comply with illegitimate edicts because of a so-called ‘crisis’ for their safety.

Most Americans complied with unlawful COVID-19 mandates and executive orders that egregiously violated our country’s founding documents.

Sadly, many would likely comply with a ‘climate emergency.’

Last week, U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres released an alarmist message saying that “the era of global warming has ended” and “the era of global boiling has arrived.” Using adjectives that included “terrifying,” Mr. Guterres said U.N. member states “must turn a year of burning heat into a year of burning ambition.”

A number of legacy media outlets, including the Los Angeles Times, have floated proposals such as purposefully implementing an “occasional blackout” to “help solve climate change.” A Guardian article published last week calls on the Biden administration to “declare a climate emergency” and states that it “must do so now.”

Mr. Stewart recently said the LA Times article and similar reports are part of a “propaganda war” that’s designed to “condition the public to think people it is their duty to the State to be miserable, cold, and hungry.”

“It wasn’t too long ago that even posing a question like this would be considered preposterous even from Democrats,” he said. “After all—one of the defining problems of Third World countries is the lack of reliable energy infrastructure and supply.”

Just the News shared a non exhaustive “legal guide” from the nonprofit Center for Biological Diversity saying Biden could do the following under an emergency declaration:

End crude oil exports
End all offshore oil and gas leasing
Restrict U.S. fossil fuel exports and end hundreds of billions of dollars in overseas fossil fuel investments
Dramatically accelerate a transition to clean energy

Next move will be escalate the "climate crises" and start a frog-boiling process of gradual erosion of civil liberties.

Stewart also warned that declaring an emergency could result in the censoring of those disagreeing about a climate crisis, like critics of so-called COVID mandates on masks and vaccines were.

“If you disagree with the climate emergency, [speech] can be shut down,” Stewart said. “We really need to be paying attention to that because that power could be extended indefinitely until the ‘climate emergency’ is over. Who knows how long that would last.”
