Trump Endorses ‘Sound of Freedom’ and ‘Death Penalty’ for Child Trafficking

Could it be that the mainstream media is trying to ignore the reality of child trafficking simply because it was Trump who decided to shine a spotlight on the issue?

In a move that should be universally applauded, the former President showed his unequivocal support for the fight against this horrific crime.

After watching ‘Sound of Freedom,’ a movie that focuses on child trafficking, Donald Trump, unswervingly and with an unmistakable Trump-style clarity, vowed to employ the full power of Title 42 to end the child trafficking crisis.

“I will return all trafficked children to their families in their home countries and without delay,” Trump declared.

His impassioned commitment didn’t end there. The former President proposed something that should strike fear into the hearts of those engaged in such heinous crimes – the immediate death penalty for anyone, women included, convicted of child trafficking.

But where was this policy’s inception? Title 42, enacted during Trump’s administration, was a provision allowing Border Patrol to expel immigrants without granting them an asylum hearing, primarily as a COVID-19 precautionary measure.

Joe Biden, however, chose to abandon this policy.

Trump’s history in the fight against human trafficking is a strong one, and his recent announcement only highlights his continued commitment to this cause.

He cites the Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Re-authorization Act, the Abolish Human Trafficking Act, and other executive orders around the topic as testaments to his dedication.

This isn’t just a grandstanding gesture from the former President. Trump hosted a screening of ‘Sound of Freedom’ at his New Jersey golf course, inviting producer Eduardo Verastegui, lead actor Jim Caviezel, and former Homeland Security agent Tim Ballard and his wife.

According to the Washington Examiner:

Former President Donald Trump announced a new campaign promise Friday after watching the movie Sound of Freedom.

“I will use Title 42 to end the child trafficking crises by returning all trafficked children to their families in their home countries and without delay,” Trump announced in a video on Truth Social. “And I will urge Congress to ensure that anyone caught trafficking children across our border receives the death penalty immediately, and that includes women.”

Title 42 was a policy enacted under the Trump administration which allowed Border Patrol to expel immigrants without granting them an asylum hearing. Title 42 was enacted in March 2020 as a precaution during the COVID-19 pandemic. President Joe Biden has since rescinded the policy.

“Under my leadership we did more than any other administration in history to combat human trafficking and to end modern-day slavery,” Trump said, citing the Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Prevention and Protection Re-authorization Act, the Abolish Human Trafficking Act, and other executive orders around the topic.

The announcement came after Trump hosted a screening of Sound of Freedom on Wednesday night at his golf course in New Jersey, with producer Eduardo Verastegui, lead actor Jim Caviezel, and former Homeland Security agent Tim Ballard and his wife in attendance.

Predictably, the media is having a meltdown.

They are accusing ‘Sound of Freedom’ of being a Q-Anon conspiracy theorist film.

Of course, it is nothing of the sort.

This raises the question, why is the media against the message of “Sound of Freedom”?

Or put another way, if the media is against the message of STOPPING child trafficking, then what message DO they support?

It’s a fair question to ask.

Given the urgency and gravity of the issue, the media’s silence is alarming. Are they so bent on their anti-Trump narrative that they’re willing to turn a blind eye to a global atrocity?

Is their attempt to paint Trump in a negative light so desperate that they’re willing to ignore his stand against child trafficking?

The silence is deafening.

Take a look at the spin from the Independent:

After watching “Sound of Freedom,” the movie associated with QAnon, former president Donald Trump said that he would require the death penalty for “anyone caught trafficking children across our border.”

In a new campaign video, Mr Trump claimed that during his presidency, child trafficking was “down to the lowest number in many years just four years ago” but “now it’s gone through the roof.”

“Under my leadership we did more than any administration in history to combat human trafficking and to end modern day slavery,” he said, before listing the legislation he signed during his term.

Really?

The ‘movie associated with QAnon’?

Why is the media so obsessed with name-calling instead of just objectively reporting the news!
