DEVELOPING: Twitter Threatens LAWSUIT Against Meta

Well, that escalated real quick. …

According to sources, Twitter has threatened to sue Meta over its new platform dubbed ‘Threads’—a microblogging platform eerily similar to Twitter.

A letter sent from Twitter to Meta claimed that Meta illegally hired and contracted ex-Twitter employees with insider knowledge and sensitive trade secrets to work at Meta and develop Threads.

Twitter alleges that this was deliberately done by Meta in violation of U.S. intellectual property laws and that the social media giant will seek all methods of recourse—including legal action.

Below is the letter and more on the story:

Conservative influencers and journalists are already claiming that they are experiencing heavy censorship on the new platform. Chuck Callesto asked: “Have you been censored?”

Just The News had more on Threads and the potential for legal action:

Meta, which also owns Instagram and Facebook, debuted Threads on Wednesday. The microblogging platform is comparable to Twitter but offers users a larger character limit.

Upon taking over Twitter, Musk implemented dramatic staffing cuts and upended the company’s content moderation policies to permit the posting of previously disfavored content.

Rogan O’Handley had this to say: “Just downloaded and signed up for the new Meta app “Threads” meant to imitate Twitter. I posted once about wanting to expose Biden’s corrupt government and they’ve already flagged me for censorship. Great platform Zuck.”

The Epoch Times claimed that Threads is already facing sharp criticism:

Threads offers users the option to deactivate their accounts.

However, deactivation only means that other users on the app won’t see them. All personal information will continue to remain on company servers.

Once a person deletes their Instagram account, their Threads data will remain on the servers for up to 90 days.

If a user wishes to delete all their Threads content but wants to continue using Instagram, they will have to go through each piece of Threads content and manually delete them one by one.
