WATCH: Hunter Biden Settles Case

Hunter Biden seems to be getting away with a lot lately—not unscathed, but with slaps on the wrist for someone of his stature.

According to a recent court filing, Hunter Biden has entered into a child support settlement with Lunden Roberts—the mother of his unacknowledged child.

Biden agreed to pay less child support every single month—$5,000, as opposed to the $20,000 monthly payments he was making. …

However, he also agreed to give his unacknowledged daughter proceeds from his art sales and has even given the mother one of his paintings as part of the settlement.

Hunter’s paintings sell from roughly $75,000-$500,000, so royalty commissions or percentages from these sales are actually quite substantial.

Additionally, the couple agreed to reconvene and discuss starting a college fund for their daughter Navy Roberts in 5 years’ time.

As you can tell from the comments, opinions, and headlines below, people are lambasting Hunter Biden for being a deadbeat dad.

They reiterate the fact that the Biden family refuses to acknowledge Hunter Biden’s daughter or let her use their family name.

According to The Epoch Times:

Biden’s child support payments will continue until the earliest occurrence of any of the following events:

The child [reaches] the age of 18, provided that, if the child is fully enrolled in an accredited secondary school in a program leading toward a high school diploma, the periodic payments shall continue to be due and paid until the end of month in which the child graduates;

The child marries;

The child dies;

The child’s disabilities are otherwise removed for general purposes;

The child is otherwise emancipated; or
Further order of the Court modifying this child support.

The Blaze notes: “Hunter Biden’s child with former stripper will ‘select’ one of several of his paintings to keep as part of child support settlement.”

This brings up the question: why are his awful paintings worth so much? How is it that Hunter Biden’s art qualifies as a major financial asset that can be hawked as a part of court-ordered settlements?

NBC News explained:

Biden initially denied that he was the father of the child, but a paternity test “established with scientific certainty” that he was, Roberts has said in court filings.

Biden agreed in 2020 to pay monthly child support.
