Did Bret Baier Cooperate With The DOJ To Entrap Trump?

Rumors are swirling on social media that Fox News host Bet Baier cooperated with the DOJ by attempting to entrap Trump in his most recent sit-down interview with Trump.

The rumors started shortly after many users on social media noticed Baier’s questions to Trump resembled more of a FBI agent rather than a conservative news anchor.

One user who goes by the Twitter handle @BostonBill2010 tagged Baier in a tweet and asked the Fox News anchor if the DOJ wrote his interview questions for him.

Baier responded to the  Twitter User and tweeted “No. I wrote my own questions. And frankly I didn’t know that I would get much on the indictment questions assuming he might say he couldn’t talk about it. Thanks for watching.”

Here was Baier’s response:

The Trump’s most recent sit down with Bret Baier garnered , it felt as Trump was being questioned by a prosecutor rather than a conservatives news anchor.

Just watch:

Here’s what Resist The Mainstream reported:

Fox News anchor Bret Baier is denying that he communicated with the Justice Department before interviewing Donald Trump.

Baier’s sit-down interview with the former president was notable for several reasons, but most prominently because, as lawyers pointed out, Trump appeared to have admitted to obstructing justice.

During the interview, Baier asked Trump why he didn’t return the boxes of documents requested by the National Archives and Records Administration, which then obtained a subpoena for the documents. Trump replied that he was busy.

The interview led Trump supporters to accuse Fox News of being in cahoots with the Justice Department to entrap Trump.

The Fox News anchor directly responded to an accusation on Wednesday that claimed, “The big question is did @BretBaier have any contact with the DOJ to try and entrap @realDonaldTrump into incriminating himself. Who wrote his questions. The DOJ will be using his interview against him.”

According to Baier, it is unequivocally false to suggest he was recruited to help investigators.

“I’ll answer that. No. I wrote my own questions,” he said. “And frankly I didn’t know that I would get much on the indictment questions assuming he might say he couldn’t talk about it. Thanks for watching.”

Per Raw Story:

s fans of former President Donald Trump increasingly turn against Fox News, anchor Bret Baier has become a particular target of their ire after he thoroughly grilled the former president on a wide array of topics earlier this week.

One Trump supporter on Wednesday took to Twitter to ask Baier if he were part of a nefarious deep-state plot to put the former president in jail by getting him to incriminate himself on national television.

“The big question is did Bret Baier have any contact with the DOJ to try and entrap [Trump] into incriminating himself,” the Trump supporter wrote. “Who wrote his questions. The DOJ will be using his interview against him.”

Baier responded directly to the Trump supporter’s claim.

“No. I wrote my own questions,” Baier shot back. “And frankly I didn’t know that I would get much on the indictment questions assuming he might say he couldn’t talk about it. Thanks for watching.”
