In what universe does it make sense for a sitting ‘President’ of The United States to apologize to another world leader for shooting down his spy balloon?

WLTR previously reported that the CCP spy balloon was allowed to cross pretty much the entirety of the United States before being shot down off of the East Coast.

Joe Biden did absolutely nothing to shoot down the balloon over its several thousand-mile journey through the mainland United States. …

Now we are seeing reports that following the downing of the balloon, Joe Biden was desperate to apologize to Xi Jinping. …

Why would he be so desperate to apologize? Who is really running the show here?

Here’s what everyone is saying:

Senator Tom Cotton reminded Americans:

“Joe Biden did nothing when China floated a spy balloon across our entire country, and now Xi Jinping thinks he can set up a secret base in Cuba with no consequences. This time, Joe Biden must face the reality of the new Cold War and punish the CCP.”

 

NBC News broke the story:

Biden believed his relationship with Xi could help tamp down the newly escalated tensions with Beijing if he had the opportunity to speak directly and smooth things over, the officials said.

But the president’s advisers made the case to him that it was not the right time for a leader-to-leader conversation, the officials said.

Instead, Biden’s advisers told him, the best course of action was to begin outreach to Beijing with lower or midlevel officials, and work the way up to the top, according to the officials.

Travis in Flint offered another update on the CCP spy balloon story:

“Chinese spy station in Cuba has been found to be accurate, after the Biden admin denied it on Thursday.

According to the WSJ China made a secret agreement with Cuba to build a spy base on the island to gather intelligence from US bases along the southern seaboard. When the story first broke, the Biden admin denied it. Today, they’ve changed stories and are now admitting it’s accurate.

Why would the Biden admin lie to cover for China? What are they doing to stop this?”

 

Debyanne posted this warning, keep in mind that security officials recently caught Chinese nationals attempting to fly drones near our Northern border.

She states, “It has been proven that CCP officially supports invasion. Biden ignores but allows or even aids such invasions. He also tries hard to maintain good relations with China.”

 

 

 

 

 

BBC News had more on the downing of the CCP spy balloon:

China’s foreign ministry later expressed “strong dissatisfaction and protest against the US’s use of force to attack civilian unmanned aircraft”.

Footage on US TV networks showed the balloon falling to the sea after a small explosion.

An F-22 jet fighter engaged the high-altitude balloon with one missile – an AIM-9X Sidewinder – and it went down about six nautical miles off the US coast at 14:39 EST (19:39 GMT), a defence official told reporters.

Defence officials told US media the debris landed in 47ft (14m) of water – shallower than they had expected – near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
