Special Counsel Investigating Biden Vanishes—Where Is Robert Hur?

Where is Robert Hur? This seems to be the question on everyone’s minds.

The Special Counsel appointed to oversee the classified documents investigation into Joe Biden has mysteriously ‘vanished’, according to sources.

Indeed, Hur is nowhere to be found, and his investigation seems to have halted altogether. …

Is this by design or is Robert Hur simply burning the midnight oil and conducting his investigation with the utmost secrecy?

I don’t have the answers to these questions, in fact, I have even more questions than answers right now about both Special Counsel Hur and the ongoing investigation. …

President Trump’s various indictments seem to have taken up the media’s full attention because, well, of course, they would, yet we are seeing absolutely nothing of the current investigation into Biden. …

If this keeps up, we have to wonder. …Is there even an ongoing investigation at all?

I am far from the only one asking what happened to the Special Counsel and his investigation:

Constitutional lawyer Jonathan Turley recently penned this piece in The Messenger:

This also is the six-month anniversary of the appointment of another special counsel … Robert Hur. In the company of better-known appointees like Robert Mueller, John Durham and Smith, Hur is the prosecutorial version of the missing Beatle.

He was appointed on Jan. 12 and then seemingly vanished.

Unlike the apparent leaks and speculation about the Smith investigation or the breathless accounts of Trump grand jury testimony, Hur’s investigation of classified documents allegedly found to be improperly in Biden’s possession appears to have all but disappeared.

Previously, the House Judiciary Committee issued this letter to Merrick Garland demanding details on Hur’s investigation.

Earlier this year, NPR wrote a piece detailing Robert Hur’s career:

The reason that I recruited Rob to join me in the Justice Department in 2017 was that he’d worked with me as an assistant U.S. attorney in Maryland from 2007 to 2014.

He handled cases ranging from violent crime to fraud. Everything that Rob worked on, he handled expertly.

He was well-regarded by staff as well as by agents and defense attorneys and judges. He just has a winning personality and was well respected by all.
