WATCH: President Trump Extends Heartwarming Invitation

We live in truly backward times. …

I can’t think of a more emblematic story to showcase an empire in decline—a nation hellbent on committing suicide than the story of the Rushingbrook Children’s Choir.

The children were singing the National Anthem in the Capitol and everything was going fine—I am sure the kids were excited to be there, and it was a display that would make almost anyone smile. …

Until Capitol police officers approached the choir and instructed the children not to sing the National Anthem. …They were told not to sing because the National Anthem might be offensive to some people.

Let that sink in for a second, law enforcement officers in the nation’s Capitol don’t want children singing the National Anthem.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene explained:

“Rushingbrook Children’s Choir was singing the National Anthem in the Capitol and was stopped by Capitol police. They were told that “certain Capitol police said it might offend someone/cause issues.”

The National Anthem sung by children is not offensive, it’s needed more.”

Appalled by the news, President Trump extended an invitation to the Rushingbrook Children’s Choir.

Below is a full transcript of the video:

“I want to say hello and pay my respects to a very talented group of people, the Rushingbrook Children’s Choir.

I heard about what happened at the Capitol and that’s a shame, it’s a really, it’s a
serious thing to have an event like that.

Such a beautiful time in your lives, and such an important time in your lives to
be interrupted in such a way. …

But we are going to have you in South Carolina, and you’re going to sing at a rally for us in front of tens of thousands of people, and we’re all going to have a great time together.

We love our country we’re going to take care of our country, and we’re going to pay respect to those people that love it, and nobody loves it more than you.

So rushing Brook remember South Carolina at our first rally, it’ll be announced soon and you’re going to be there, and thank you for everything, and thank you for loving America.”

The New York Post had more on the incident:

Capitol Police initially issued a statement that said they were under the impression the group didn’t have permission to perform in the building but clarified later that they “were not aware that the Speaker’s Office had approved this performance.”

Choir director David Rasbach and another choir leader said the visit was approved by the office of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., which the speaker’s office confirmed.

Reactions on Twitter were overwhelmingly negative, with an outpouring of support for the Rushingbrook Children’s Choir from patriots.

Fox News provided this quote from choir director David Rasbach:

“I was shocked, I was dismayed, I was stunned,” Rasbach, who said he secured permission from three congressional offices to perform at the U.S. Capitol, told the Daily Signal.

“I couldn’t believe that was happening, that they would stop the national anthem, of all songs.”
