U.S. Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz shared a video of a young child being dropped from a border barrier by an ‘unknown subject’ in San Diego.
The incident took place on Monday, according to Ortiz.
“A 4-year-old was dropped from the border barrier by an unknown subject in San Diego, Monday,” Ortiz wrote.
“Responding Agents and EMS providing first aid to the child also reported gunshots near their position while tending to the child. Remarkably, the child is ok! Do not trust smugglers!” he added.
In the video, it shows one individual walking around after being lowered to the ground from the border barrier.
Afterward, another individual is dropped to the ground from the top of the border barrier.
Another individual who slides to the ground from the border barrier then carries the individual who slammed onto the ground.
The shocking video illustrates the dangerous situations children are put into at the border.

ABC 7 reported:
Alarming new video shows a 4-year-old child being dropped by what appears to be a smuggler from atop a barrier at the U.S.-Mexico border in San Diego on Monday.
The video was released by U.S Border Patrol Raul Ortiz on Twitter.
It shows an unknown person lowering the child before dropping them from the barrier. A second person is dropped moments later.
Portions of the video show the child waiting as the person directed him or her to stand aside.
Ortiz said agents treated the child at the scene and is expected to be OK. He said agents also reported hearing gunshots while helping the child.
Prior reports said the Biden administration cannot account for 85,000 migrant children released into the United States.
From Fox News:
A Republican senator is pressing the Biden administration over 85,000 unaccounted for migrant children released into the United States, according to a letter provided to Fox News Digital.
Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn sent a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra on Thursday demanding answers for the “abuse and exploitation” of migrant children following reports of forced labor and whistleblower testimony alleging that the government is delivering some to human traffickers.
“I am deeply concerned regarding the recent reports that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has mishandled unaccompanied migrant children by placing them with unvetted sponsors, leading to their exploitation and forced labor,” Blackburn wrote in the letter to Becerra.
“President Biden’s border crisis has placed illegal immigrants in dangerous—and often deadly— situations, and the over 250,000 unaccompanied minors who have crossed our southern border over the last two years are no exception,” Blackburn wrote.
According to a CBP memo obtained by Just the News, the Biden administration will end DNA familial testing at the border.
Experts warn this will increase the risk of children being exploited by drug cartels and traffickers.
