FBI officials reportedly met with the House Oversight Committee Monday regarding an internal document Republicans claim proves Joe Biden was involved in a criminal bribery scheme with a foreign national.
According to reports, the FBI again refused to hand over the document to the committee.
On Friday, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) sent a letter to the FBI demanding the internal FD-1023 form.

The FBI’s latest obstruction also comes after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said he expected the agency to hand over the form.

However, the FBI reportedly still refuses to provide the internal document.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation failed to turn over a document subpoenaed by House Republicans that allegedly details a bribery scheme from then-Vice President Joe Biden.
The agency refused to provide the document Monday in a private meeting with the House Oversight and Accountability Committee. The unclassified FD-1023 document details criminal allegations of a pay-to-play scheme related to the Biden family’s business dealings, according to a whistleblower at the agency who spoke with Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa.
Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., who chairs the Oversight Committee, issued the subpoena to the FBI, which previously failed to provide the document by a May 10 deadline. Comer said he wants to work with Senate Republicans to hold the FBI’s budget “hostage” until the agency gets new leadership or provides the document.
“They don’t respect anyone in Congress,” Comer said Monday on Fox News. “They’ve been able to get away with this for a long time. The media continues to turn a blind eye. The Senate Republicans continue to fund the FBI. Why would you change your business model when you’re getting everything you want?”

The FBI confirmed to DailyMail.com that it provided a response to the Republicans last week, but disputed Grassley’s claim that it proves the existence of the specific document alleged by the whistleblower.
‘An FD-1023 form is used by FBI agents to record unverified reporting by a confidential human source. Documenting the information does not validate it, establish its credibility, or weigh it against other information verified by the FBI,’ a spokesperson said.
‘Revealing unverified or possibly incomplete information could harm investigations, prejudice prosecutions or judicial proceedings, unfairly violate privacy or reputations, create misimpressions in the public, or potentially identify individuals who provide information to law enforcement, placing their physical safety at risk.
‘Information from confidential human sources and members of the public is critical to the work of the FBI and we are also committed to protecting the confidentiality of anyone who comes forward.’
The subpoena for the document marked a significant update in the Republican ‘influence-peddling’ probe into the Biden family and came just hours after a report said prosecutors were close to deciding whether to criminally charge Hunter Biden in his tax and gun probes.
Iam Sams, White House spokesperson for oversight and investigations has called the GOP subpoena for the document ‘unfounded’ and ‘politically motivated.’
