Just hours after Fox News reported they will depart ways with Tucker Carlson, Trump sat down with Newsmax’s Greg Kelly to explain how he feels about the shocking development.
Trump told Kelly he was “shocked” and “surprised” about Tucker’s departure from Fox News.
The 45th President continued “He’s a very good person and a very good man… Tucker’s been terrific, especially over the last year or so.”

Here’s what Forbes reported:
President Donald Trump said he was “shocked” by Tucker Carlson’s sudden departure from Fox News and joined several other GOP leaders in praising the controversial prime-time host, in an interview on Monday evening with Newsmax.
The former president indicated he is unaware of the circumstances behind Carlson’s exit, saying: “I don’t know if it was voluntary, or was it, somebody fired [him]
When Kelly implied that Carlson was fired—as some reports suggest—Trump said “you don’t know if it’s a firing,” adding that the former host may have left “because he wasn’t being given his free rein.”
When asked about Fox’s recent $787 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems, Trump said he was “surprised” by the network’s decision to make a settlement, as he thought “that was the case that should easily be won.”
