Benny Johnson sat down with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis about his take on the Bud Light boycott.
“Why would you want to drink Bud Light? I mean like honestly that’s like them rubbing our faces in it and it’s like these companies that do this if they never have any response, they’re just going to keep doing it,” DeSantis said.
“We have power as consumers to make our voice heard and not on every company because sometimes conservative consumers aren’t gonna make a dent in some companies. This one is one if you don’t have conservative beer drinkers, you’re going to feel that. And so you know, I think it’s a righteous thing,” he added.
“It’s part of a larger thing where corporate America is trying to change our country. Trying to change policy, trying to change culture, and I’d rather be governed by We the People then woke companies, so I think push back is in order across-the-board, including with Bud Light,” he continued.
Johnson asked DeSantis if he would ever drink Bud Light again.
“No, I don’t think so,” DeSantis answered.
“We actually like the stout. The Guinness,” he added.

I hope DeSantis is planning on extending the “across-the-board” boycott to Guinness.
Here’s why!
Diageo, the parent company of Guinness, is among the biggest pushers of the trans agenda.
The British multinational alcoholic beverage company released this Spanish language, pro-trans ad in December 2022 for J&B scotch, one of its brands.
The ad features a grandfather teaching his grandson how to apply makeup.

Edge Media Network wrote this piece about the ad:
A Spanish-language ad for the whisky brand J&B is tearing up viewers while promoting trans acceptance. As reported by AdAge, the three-minute ad, created by Madrid agency El Ruso de Rocky, “tells the story of a grandfather who starts to experiment with make-up in his bedroom.”
Cautious at first, the man heads to town to buy more cosmetics and take tips from various various beauty campaigns he comes across. “Then his family arrives for the holidays, and he notices his 26-year-old grandchild, ‘Alvaro.’ He takes them aside and returns with Alvaro transformed into ‘Ana,’ and welcomed by the family,” wrote AdAge.
“The spot directed by Gabe Ibáñez via Agosto, is set to a cover version of Charles Aznavour’s ‘She’ and stars multidisciplinary artist Ella Di Amore, who, at 26 years of age, is in the process of gender transition.” The cover is by Elvis Costello.
According to Diageo, J&B’s parent company, “the film is underlined by the fact that many in the LGBTQ+ community feel uncomfortable being their true selves around loved ones during the holiday season According to a 2022 study by the Ministry of Equality in Spain, for 77% of trans or non-binary people surveyed, family was the most difficult or problematic setting, and 19% purposely avoided family encounters. Diageo calls the issue ‘Christmas Homosexolitude.'”
Diageo North America had a perfect score on its CEI (Corporate Equality Index):
For the fourteenth year in a row, Diageo North America has received a perfect score…. The company attributes part of its success to its 10-year action plan to help create a more inclusive and sustainable world, Society 2030: Spirit of Progress.
The 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) is a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality. Diageo North America’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria also designates the company as one of the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality.

If these conservative boycotts are “across-the-board” like Gov. DeSantis said, shouldn’t he be boycotting Guinness and every Diageo brand?
