WATCH BREAKING: Pentagon Leaker ARRESTED

On Thursday the F.B.I. announced the arrest of an individual alleged to be the Pentagon leaker.

Merrick Garland told the press that agents had apprehended a man named Jack Teixeira. The alleged leaker currently works for the U.S. Air Force National Guard.

The documents revealed a number of classified facts about U.S. allies and their capabilities—most notably Ukraine, as well as sensitive intelligence information regarding Russia.

According to Haaretz:

Some of the most sensitive leaked details are purportedly related to Ukraine’s military capabilities and shortcomings, and information about U.S. allies including Israel, South Korea and Turkey.

People were quick to point out the obvious hypocrisy and priorities of the current regime. ..

Axios provided these statements from officials:

Teixeira was arrested in connection to “unauthorized removal, retention and transmission of classified national defense information,” Garland said.

He was arrested “without incident,” Garland added…

…Pentagon press secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder said during a news conference Thursday afternoon they were “continuing to assess the scope and the impact” of the leak.

Ryder described the leak as a “deliberate criminal act.”
