I am not going to lie, I am giddy right now!
Over the last week or so, I have been shopping around for a stock brokerage—preferably one that would let me buy and short individual stocks (like Anheuser-Busch) and crypto.
Today, Twitter has definitely narrowed down that search by providing a solution. …
According to the latest reports, Twitter is integrating support for Etorro, a popular brokerage platform, into Twitter starting on Thursday—that’s today!
Users will be able to trade from Twitter by clicking on the Etorro feature that pops up when a user enters a ticker symbol with a $ symbol in front of it—i.e $TSLA.
Right now, clicking on the button will take you directly to Etorro’s platform where you can trade from there, but I suspect that this feature will likely be directly integrated into Twitter in the future.
This move is part of the latest initiative to make Twitter into the ‘everything app‘ dubbed ‘X’—a platform that will allow users to talk, trade, connect, sell, and influence, all through one site—just like WeChat.

CNBC reports:
With the eToro partnership, Twitter cashtags will be expanded to cover far more instruments and asset classes, an eToro spokesperson told CNBC.
You’ll also be able to click a button that says “view on eToro,” which takes you through to eToro’s site, and then buy and sell assets on its platform. EToro uses TradingView as its market data partner.
“As we’ve grown over the past three years immensely, we’ve seen more and more of our users interact on Twitter [and] educate themselves about the markets,” Yoni Assia, eToro’s CEO, told CNBC in an interview.
Twitter has partnered with @eToro to allow its users to trade cryptocurrencies and stocks on the platform.
This means that people will be able to buy and sell digital currencies like Bitcoin and stocks like Apple and Amazon without having to leave Twitter.
