The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are recommending pausing the use of “Ixchiq (Chikungunya Vaccine, Live) in individuals 60 years of age and older.” FDA Commissioner Dr. Martin Makary made the announcement.
