Happy Sunday everyone!
We’re back with another Sunday Gospel message for you, and we’re back again with our good friend Pastor Robb Goodman:
Today’s message is titled, The Wedding Supper of the Lamb.
Today’s message is one I’ve never taught on before. The subject of The Wedding Supper of the Lamb is quite intriguing. I hope that this teaching blesses you and impacts your life in a powerful way. It certainly has mine, while preparing this message.
How do we prepare ourselves, the church; to be married to Jesus? His beloved bride and wife for all eternity? Just the thought of it brings many exciting thoughts of wonder. What will it actually be like. Let’s find out together as we get ourselves into the Word of God.
Thank you for continuing to pray for our great President Trump. Prayer will carry forth his efforts and silence the enemy. Thanks to Noah Christopher for bringing us the facts each day. No fake news found here!!! Thanks Noah for all of your hard work that you do everyday. May God bless you and your family abundantly.

Pastor Robb Goodman: [Music] Good morning everyone and welcome to today’s message. I am Pastor Robb Goodman, and I’m the lead senior pastor here at Zion Freedom Fellowship in wonderful Maryland. It has been cold outside—oh my goodness, has it been cold! Oh, all those of you that live in warmth, you’re so blessed, blessed, blessed, blessed. But anyway, it is what it is, and God has us here for a purpose and for His calling, so here we are. Amen.
Well, I’m glad to be with you today. I have a wonderful message for you today; we’re going to teach on the wedding supper of the Lamb. This is a topic I’ve never taught on before, so I’m trusting the Lord to bring forth a great understanding to all of you who are listening to this message—that you will also understand and gain new insight on this great wedding feast that’s going to take place in heaven one day. We’re not very far away from that; I do believe with all my heart that Jesus can come at any time, and we need to be ready. We’re going to talk about how we get prepared for this wedding feast, and we’re going to look at Matthew 22 in a little bit, which talks about a person that did not have a wedding garment on.
So it’s really important that we are prepared for the wedding feast when God literally causes the wedding of the bride of Christ—which is you and me, men and women, girls and boys—we will be married to Christ. Praise be to God, and that will be a glorious gala event that will take place in the heavens not far from now. Now, I truly believe that we’re living in the last days, and you never hear talk about the last days like we’ve heard recently; many pastors, many well-known speakers, and biblical scholars are speaking about the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and being prepared. We need to get ready. How do we get ready for that? As we look at the Scripture today, we will find out how to do that. Amen.
Well, let’s pray. Heavenly Father, we thank You for the message and for the Word of God today. Jesus, You are the Word, and You wash us with the water of the Word; You present us as a glorious church to Yourself so that we may be a bride without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. Lord, have Your way with all of us as we seek Your face and allow You to work in our lives. Lord, have Your way in us; do what You want to do in us and allow our lives to be changed into the glorious image of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.
Because we will bear witness to the truth to all those that live in the world, those that are in darkness—great revival is coming—and Lord, You’re preparing us for that. How can You use a church that’s not prepared? Many in the church have been asleep in the light for some years now, and God is waking us up. If you happen to be sleeping in the light right now, I pray that God would wake you up. We’re going to talk about some things today that might be new and things you’ve never heard before; maybe you have, and I think that’s wonderful, but maybe you have not. But God wants to do a work in you so that you can be prepared to be married to the Lord one day. Praise be to God.
Well, let’s begin our message today. Thank You, Lord. Let’s turn to Ephesians chapter 5, and we’re going to start reading with verse 17. Let me get a drink of coffee here real quick— that’s some good stuff. Thank You, Lord. All right, Ephesians 5—we’re going to start reading at verse 17: “Therefore do not be unwise.” This is the Apostle Paul speaking to the church at Ephesus: Do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Now, we know that the will of the Lord is the Word of God— that’s God’s perfect will. So, understand what the will of the Lord is, and do not be drunk with wine, which leads to dissipation or excess, but be filled with the Spirit.
Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God. As I’ve been studying this message, I’ve been sensing the fear of the Lord building in my heart, because when we stand before the Lord one day, we’re going to be judged for things that we haven’t done and for things that we have done. One day, all of our works will be burned in the fire, and to find out what sort of work it was—will your works endure forever? Will they be tried like gold, silver, and precious stones, and will they stand the fire of God? That is something that we need to think about.
Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as to the Lord, for the husband is the head of the wife, as also Christ is the head of the church and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let wives be to their own husbands in everything. You know, this is something I heard a man of God speaking about, and I was really convicted about a lot of things. As husbands, we are supposed to really minister to our wives, and sometimes we allow things to separate us; we allow things to pull us apart. But we must be focused on ministering to our wives as unto the Lord.
Whatever we do—when you go to work every day, do you do your work as unto the Lord? Would God be pleased with your work each and every day? When you go to the office or whatever you’ve decided to do for a living, would God be pleased? Husbands, love your wives just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the Word, that He might present her to Himself as a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So, husbands ought to love their wives even as their own bodies, for he who loves his wife loves himself, for no one ever hated his own flesh but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church, for we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.
ADVERTISEMENTOkay, so we’re going to say some things about that right now. All right, let’s look at Matthew 22, verses 1-10. Matthew 22, verses 1-10: “And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for His son and sent out His servants to call those who were invited to the wedding.'” Now, we must realize that because Jesus came and died for the sins of the whole world, everyone is invited—but will everyone pay heed to that call? No, they won’t. There are those who will have many reasons why they will not want to commit to God, because in their own religiosity they think that they’re good enough, that they have lived a fair life, and they don’t have an acute understanding of God’s Word or His will to call those who were invited to the wedding, and they were not willing to come.
So, we have to be willing. Are we willing to be prepared for the day that we will be married to Christ in the Kingdom of God? Again, He sent down other servants saying, “Tell those who are invited: See how I prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatty calf have been killed and all things are ready; come to the wedding!” But they made light of it and went their ways—one to his own farm and another to his business—and the rest seized His servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. And that’s happened with servants of the Lord who’ve been out in the world; they’ve gone to foreign mission fields and given up their lives to serve God, and they’ve been killed—they’ve been literally slaughtered for preaching the gospel and invading someone else’s space. But that’s the cost that has to be paid sometimes.
When the king heard about it, he was furious and sent out His armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then He said to His servants, “The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy; therefore, go into the highways and as many as you find, invite them to the wedding.” That’s our job, right? So, those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests. But when the king came in to see the guests, He saw a man who did not have on a wedding garment. This man was not prepared; he did not make himself ready to attend the wedding. Then the king said to him, “Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?” And he was speechless.
Then the king said to the servants, “Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” For many are called, but few are chosen. Wow—think about that. Many have been called, but few are chosen. This is something very, very important. Now, we need to realize that our responsibility is to prepare ourselves for the wedding supper of the Lamb. How do we do that? Well, we’re going to talk about what the wedding supper of the Lamb actually is, and I’m going to share some of my notes with you right now. Thank You, Lord.
The marriage supper of the Lamb is a feast in the Bible that represents the union between Christ Jesus and the church. It is described in Revelation 19 and is considered the culmination of God’s redemptive work. What does it mean? The feast is a heavenly banquet that takes place after the church is gathered together before the Lord. It’s a celebration of the defeat of Christ’s enemies and the marriage of Christ to His church—it’s the end of God’s redemptive work and the beginning of eternal communion between Christ and the church. Can you just imagine that we’re going to be reigning with the Lord forever once this life is over? Depending on how we’ve lived our lives here on earth, we are going to reign with God in the Kingdom of God forever.
How many of you have taken time to read the last four or five chapters of the Book of Revelation? I mean, I’m just amazed when you think about the city and all the beautiful gemstones that the city is made of. Every gate into the New Jerusalem is made of one solid pearl. Can you just imagine that we cannot fully understand in our minds—our carnal thinking—how this can be so? But the Word of God says it, and I believe it. It is a moment of excitement that Jesus is looking forward to. How is it symbolized? The bride symbolizes believers, and Jesus is the bridegroom. The church is adorned with fine white linen.
Now, think about that—what does the white linen represent? The white linen, the fine white linen, is the righteousness of God that we’re going to be adorned in. That’s what it symbolizes, and praise be to God because of Jesus’s blood and His death on Calvary—all of our sins are cleansed. We will stand before the Lord and will not be held accountable for any of our sins anymore, especially those that we’ve confessed to the Lord. To me, that is just amazing. You know, God is so awesome; it’s just amazing how He can be so forgiving and so very kind. He is just awesome, and He’s filled with might and wonder.
It really is almost a scary thing when you think about it—God can be filled with so much grace, and then He can also pour out His wrath. That, to me, is really a fearful thing: when God pours out His wrath, that’s it—that is just it. And that’s going to happen on the earth one day. God is going to pour out His wrath, and He’s going to judge the nations for their works and the evil that they have done. I mean, the evil that’s going on in government—and thanks be to God, a lot of that evil is being revealed right now through President Trump and Mr. Musk, who’s operating in that Department. I mean, it’s just amazing—absolutely amazing.
ADVERTISEMENTI passed something on Facebook today that my wife shared with me about how the Catholic church has been involved in sex trafficking of little children. I mean, it’s just hard to believe, but the religious world does not know Jesus. They don’t know Jesus—they’re as far from the Lord’s will as, you know, Venus or Pluto. It’s just ridiculous when you think about it, but we need to be submitted to the Lord, and we as Christians must submit ourselves to the Lord in the fear of the Lord. The bridal imagery of the feast signifies God’s close union with each person. What does it mean for believers? It means believers will spend eternity in heaven with Jesus—it means believers will have no fear of the future and no grief from past sin. Isn’t that wonderful? It means believers will experience blissful happiness.
Now, Jesus is coming for a bride that doesn’t have a spot or wrinkle; He’s coming for a holy church that has been washed by the water of His Word. Paul calls this relationship a great mystery. “Great” in Greek means “megas” or “mega”—it can be used literally or figuratively and can also mean large, mighty, exceedingly high, loud, or strong. Now, let’s look at a couple of scriptures in Psalms when Israel was far away from God—and finally, between chapters 42 and 45, they come to the place where they acknowledge God as King and Lord. So let’s look at Psalm 42:1-2.
You all are familiar with this scripture: “As the deer pants for the water, so my soul pants for You, O God.” Do you feel like that right now? Do you really live that way every day? Do you live like that where you’re so hungry for God that you can’t get enough—that you’re willing to do anything to get more of Him? What are you willing to sacrifice in your carnal life to get more from God? Or are you just living a religious life, and you really don’t know? You’re not hungering for God, or you’re living an empty life. There are so many people who are not filled with the fullness of the Lord—they’re not filled with it, and they’re far from God, even though they’ve known God for many, many years. They become religious, and religious leads to emptiness. You know, trying to do good works so that others can see that, “Oh, you’re a good Christian.” You’re a godly person—you would never do anything like that—but behind closed doors your life is filled with hellish things.
Think about it now. I’m going to share something with you that I heard a man of God share on the internet—a powerful message, absolutely powerful. It was about the wedding supper, and he said that he went through a time in his life where he was so hungry for God. They had built a sanctuary, raised money for it—it was a brand-new sanctuary—but he was empty. So he woke up one night, and he just put on his sweatpants and sweatshirt, went into the church, and just cried out to God. He cried out, “All I did was moan and groan. Oh God, what’s wrong with me? Why am I so empty?” This is a pastor—I felt like that before. Come on now, tell the truth and shame the devil; you probably felt like that too.
But God is trying to bring us back into right relationship with Him, where we are completely and fully submitted to Him. There are reasons why God is not answering our prayers right now; there are reasons why we’re in a place where He’s not able to answer us—because we have resisted Him and He is resisting us. Think about it, folks—think about it. Have you ever felt like that? My soul thirsts for God, for the Living God. When will I come and appear before God? You know, we feel like that—we’re so tired of life, we just feel like, “Lord, when am I going to come home? When is all this crap going to be over, and I’m going to stand before You?” Think about it: my tears have been my food day and night while they continually say to me, “Where is your God?” When I remember those things, I pour out my soul within me, for I used to go with the multitude. I went with them to the house of God, with a voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast. “Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you disquieted within me?” Hoping in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance. Oh my God, my soul is cast down within me; therefore, I will remember You from the land of the Jordan and from the heights of Hermon. From the hill of Misar, deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls.
All the waves and billows have gone over me. The Lord will command His loving kindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me—a prayer to the God of my life. Now, think about that for a minute. Have you been in a place where you feel like you’re out in an ocean somewhere, barely keeping your head above water? The waves are washing over you, smacking you around. Well, God wants you to look and see things inside yourself that you don’t want to look at. There are reasons why God has not answered our prayers—we’re not ready for them to be answered. So, God allows us to get knocked around sometimes, and we’re scared—we’re scared we’re not going to make it.
What do we do? We have to allow God to empty us of all the hell that’s in us. You know, when you take your car in for an oil change—or even if you go to Jiffy, Jiffy Lube—you drive in there, you get out of the car, and there’s a man underneath your car, in a big basement that you don’t even see, and he’s down there draining the oil from your car. The old oil needs to be changed—we need new oil. We all need an oil change every now and then; our oil gets old and dirty, and we need an oil change. Or they either lift your car up on a lift, pull out the plug, and let all that old, black, dirty oil drain out of your engine. That’s what it’s like when we meet with God—we have to face the fact that we need an oil change. Our life is not running smoothly; it’s very difficult, but yet we keep going our own way. The Lord is trying to prepare us to be a bride, and that’s why in these last days He is doing this to the body of Christ.
Many are going through difficult times; their prayers aren’t always being answered. They’re in the service of the Lord, but yet they’re not really wholly committed unto Him. I’ve been there—I know what I’m talking about. I’m not happy about it, but I’m going to admit it to you and tell you the truth: there have been times I’ve been involved in sin in my life. It is not a good thing, because the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. So, we must present ourselves and let the Lord drain the hell out of our bodies. Let Him empty us of everything that’s in us that is corrupting us, that is keeping us back, that is holding us down. We must allow Him to do His cleaning up and make us presentable to meet Jesus one day.
Are we really ready to meet the Lord right now? I don’t think we are—be honest with yourself. I do not think that we are. It is possible to have material wealth—nice cars, bank accounts, and retirement accounts—and still be dissatisfied. The answer is yes, it is very possible. You may have everything that you need, everything that you want, and yet you’re still dissatisfied. Why is that? Why is it that when you give up everything for God and live just for Him, people will laugh at you, mock you, and scorn you, and you will be belligerently refused? Playing religion is never fulfilling to your heart. You’re living to be pleasing to man, but not to the Lord. You’re just a walking dead man—you don’t have the life of God in you. Only the Lord can see into the depth of our soul.
Have you ever walked into a room and seen rays of light shining through the windows so that you can see dust particles floating in the air? It’s because the light is shining through your windows, and you can see what you don’t usually see. The Lord is shining His light in our souls, and His Word is illuminating the things in our soul-like nature that only He can see. We don’t want to see that stuff, do we? But are we willing to humble ourselves before God and cry out to Him, “Lord, show me what is in me. Show me the mess. Lord, I really want to be cleaned up from it. I want You to bring salvation to my soul. I want my soul to be saved”? That’s powerful.
His sanctification is preparing us for the last day—revival, the Holy Spirit is getting us ready to fulfill His divine purposes in our lives. He can’t use an unclean vessel; no, He cannot. We must submit to the Lord and be fully yielded to Him—spirit, soul, and body. Glory to God—that is something I’ve been crying out to God for: “Lord, change me. Take my evil ways and change me, because only You know what’s in my soul that is not pleasing to You, Jesus—only You know it.” I don’t see it, but You do. Are you willing to submit yourself to God and say, “Lord, here I am; shine Your light on my soul”? His Word is light—His Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Let that Word shine into our souls and cleanse us and rid us of any evil that’s in our soul-like nature.
Now, think about that, folks. Think about it in great detail and look at what the Lord has done. Look at what the Lord has done—Jesus in John 3:3 through 8: the offer of a new life, the gift of the Son, the condemnation, the blessedness of receiving the light. Who is Jesus? The change from natural flesh to spiritual life—when you get born again, everything changes in your life. Have you really been born again? How does humanity respond to the imitation of Jesus, Savior of the world? Look at Matthew 8:11-12. Matthew 8:11-12: “And I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven; but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Think about that: sons of the kingdom— is everybody going to make it? I don’t think so. I know it’s a scary subject, but we need to face it. Are we really living a life that is pleasing to the Lord? How pleasing are we to the Father? Are we ready to meet Jesus and be His bride?
ADVERTISEMENTThe bride prepares herself on her wedding day; she makes sure her makeup is just right, her hair is done, and her dress is perfect. I mean, what a glorious image that is. I remember seeing my wife in her wedding gown—a beautiful white satin wedding gown. It was just absolutely gorgeous, and I’ll never forget her walking down that aisle with her dad. It was just a beautiful day, a beautiful, beautiful thing. And we’ve now been married for 40—almost 43—years. It’s hard to believe; it really is hard that time goes by so quickly. Oh, thank You, Jesus, thank You, Lord.
Some will refuse the invitation to salvation through Jesus, God’s Son. They may be proud, arrogant in their own goodness, and they may be scornful, mocking, and belligerently refuse to believe in the Lord God Himself or in an afterlife—unless repentance takes place. These people will reject the call of God to the wedding feast. Those who reject the wedding invitation—who is Jesus Christ—will go into hell, darkness, weeping, pain, and gnashing of teeth, and sadly, eternal separation from God. Now, that’s just something else. I’m telling you, folks, that is a scary thought; it’s a scary thought, but it’s truth. The Word of God is truth. Whether someone goes to heaven or hell is a choice of their own free will.
There are those who will reject God’s offer in favor of their own religious goodness. The religious must depart from their self-righteousness and be humble before God. They must admit any attempt to be good enough for God, because heaven is a prideful and useless dead work in God’s eyes. Think about that: it’s a dead work, because you can only be saved by what Jesus did, and the Holy Spirit has the ability—if you submit to Jesus’s lordship—to clean you from the inside out. You might look good on the outside, look religious, and you know you go to church, say your prayers, pay your tithes, and all those good things. But what’s in your heart? What’s in your heart? They must trust in God’s mercy and love and in Jesus’s righteousness. Only then will they receive the white robe of perfect righteousness provided by Jesus, and they will be prepared for the wedding feast.
It’s coming, folks—we are at the end of the age. We’re at the end of the age right now. The non-religious must humble and meekly accept that they are sinners apart from God, and heaven and hell await us all to pay for our many sins. They must accept that they have no hope without God and ask for His mercy and help. Who is the greatest gift of all? Jesus, the Son of God, who died for them. They must believe from the heart that Jesus took their sins upon His own body on the cross and, by forgiving their sins, made them clean before God, wearing the white robe of righteousness. Now, they are ready for the wedding feast. Wow—it’s amazing, isn’t it? That is absolutely amazing.
Where are you right now? I’m running out of time, so I’m not going to keep going much longer, but where are you right now? Where are you? Think about what you might lose. Think about it—think about it. I want to read some scripture from the Book of Revelation for you. Let’s go to Revelation 20. Then I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand, and he laid hold of the dragon—the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan—and bound him for a thousand years. He cast him into the bottomless pit and shut him up, and set a seal on him so that he should not deceive the nations any more until the thousand years were finished. But after these things, he must be released for a little while.
I saw thrones, and those who sat on them had judgment committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands—and they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. Boy, the millennial kingdom is going to be something you just can’t imagine—perfection—and that’s before the New Jerusalem comes down, before the battle of Armageddon, which is at the end of… wait a minute now—no, I’m getting myself mixed up. I’m not going to go there—I got it mixed up—but the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection: blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection; over such, the second death has no power. But they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with Him for a thousand years.
All right, let me go down to—let’s go to chapter 21 now. I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain; for the former things have passed away.”
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “These words are true and faithful.” And He said to me, “It is done.” I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give the fountain of the water of life freely to him who is thirsty. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolators, and liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone—a jasper stone, clear as crystal. Also, she had a great and high wall with twelve gates and twelve angels at the gates, and on the gates were the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel—three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south, and three on the west.
Now, the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. And he who talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city and its gates and its walls. The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth, and He measured the city with the reed, 12,000 furlongs. The length, breadth, and height are equal. Then He measured its wall, 144 cubits, according to the measure of a man—that is, of an angel. Isn’t that interesting? Men are like angels—we’re kind of like them, even though we’re not; we are living flesh beings. The construction of its wall was of jasper, and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardex, the sixth chrysolite, the seventh beryl, the eighth topaz, the ninth chrysoprase, the tenth jacinth, the eleventh amethyst, and the twelfth agate. The twelve gates were twelve pearls; each individual gate was one pearl. Can you imagine? You wouldn’t want to miss this, would you? I hope not, because there are people who will defy God and not be willing to receive His gift of salvation.
I want to live in this city one day—I don’t know about you all, but I want to live there, with the streets of the city being pure gold, just like transparent glass. But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or a moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, and the Lamb, Jesus, is its light. Man, that’s exciting, isn’t it? That is so exciting.
And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in the light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. Its gates shall not be shut, and by day there shall be no night there. They shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it, but no one who defiles or causes an abomination or a lie shall enter it—only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Man, I’m telling you, folks: are you ready for this? Are you truly, truly ready? Are you willing to submit yourself to God right now? Are you really willing to submit yourself unto Him and commit to His work in your life?
If you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and your Savior, I want to offer you an invitation to pray with me right now. I’m offering you the invitation of eternal life. Are you willing to receive it? The Scripture says that if you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, then you will be saved. Are you willing to do that? Say this prayer with me:
“Father in Heaven, I believe that You sent Your Son Jesus to die for my sins. He was a perfect human being; He never lied, sinned, or failed—He was a perfect man, the perfect Son of God, and He died on the cross for me. Lord, I receive the gift of eternal life. I confess my sins to You, Lord—I am a sinner and I need to be saved. Holy Spirit, renew my heart right now; come and live inside of me. Jesus, I give You my heart; come in, I ask You right now, come into my heart and live and dwell in me, and through me, make me Your servant. Lord, I yield myself to You.” Amen. Thank You, Lord.

"Monogenes": Has The Most Famous Bible Verse Of All Time Been Translated Wrong All This Time?
Ok, hang in there friends!
I know that headline probably has some of you VERY nervous....
Has Noah finally lost it?
Is Noah suddenly into Gnostic, "secret knowledge"?
No and no.
Nothing of the sort.
In fact, I think you're going to really love this!
And it comes from one of the preeminent semitic language and Biblical scholars of our time, the late Dr. Michael S. Heiser.
This man was truly a gift for the short time he was with us, sadly we lost him recently to cancer. A tragic loss for so many reasons.
If you know Dr. Heiser, you know he's rock solid.
If you don't know him, prepare to be impressed!
So as I said, Dr. Heiser is as traditional and conservative and grounded as they come.
He'd ever refer to himself as "boring".
He believes in all the very standard core Christian beliefs, right down the middle.
But what makes him different is he's not afraid to dig in to what the Bible really says,
You know, those weird passages or those weird stories where you're like "wait, what is going on here?"
Dr. Heiser was famous for saying he didn't believe people needed to be protected from their Bibles, so he would just dig in and tell you exactly what was going on with the language, and just like a good TV show or movie that wraps up with a perfect ending, Dr. Heiser would always seem to wrap things up in the end where the weird didn't seem to weird anymore, and in fact the deeper he went the more the full Bible started to make a whole lot of sense.
So with that background, we now dig into the question Dr. Heiser presents: Has the most famous Bible verse of all time, John 3:16, been translated wrong all this time?
Impossible, right?
Maybe not.
You've seen John 3:16 on posterboards at sporting events, but let's make sure we all know what it says:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son".
And the question of mistranslation all comes down to the word "Begotten" or "monogenēs" in Greek.
For centuries, it was translated as "Begotten" but Dr. Heiser says that scholars now believe that to be incorrect.
Prior to the mid-20th century, scholars translated the word as "begotten" because they saw it as affirming Jesus’ eternal generation from the Father, a concept rooted in the Nicene Creed’s language of the Son being "begotten, not made, of one substance with the Father." This meant that "begotten" didn’t imply a beginning in time (like human birth) but rather an eternal, unique relationship within the Godhead. Jesus was the "only begotten Son" because he alone shared the divine essence with the Father, distinct from created beings.
That all makes a lot of sense right?
The only problem is in the mid-20th century, we suddenly discovered a slew of new Greek manuscripts in the dialect of the New Testament and they gave scholars a better understanding about what certain words actually mean.
One of those words was "monogenēs".
Instead of meaning "begotten", scholars had to admit it is actually much more likely to mean "one of a kind".
How cool is that?
If you're not immediately connecting all the dots about how cool that is, watch the video below and Dr. Heiser will lay it all out.
A quick disclaimer: as this clip begins, Dr. Heiser is talking about other "sons of God"...
Don't let that throw you.
The concept of a "Divine Council" is Biblical, see Psalm 82 for example.
I'll dig deep into that farther down below, but the Bible teaches that there are many "sons of God" (a phrase used all over the Old Testament to refer to Angels/Elohim).
But Jesus is special, hence "monogenēs".
Watch here and I think it will blow your mind:
Did you know Biblical scholars now believe "only begotten" is not the best translation for "monogenes"?
It's the most famous verse in the Bible and perhaps hasn't been translated correctly all these years:

So...have we just translated the Bible wrong all these years?
Maybe, but I prefer to think of it slightly differently.
Actually, I think as God would have it, he used a word "monogenēs" here that can be interpreted in two different ways, and both bring great insight to the meaning of the verse.
I think it was perfectly chosen.
Now if you want to go much deeper on all of this stuff, including the "Divine Council"....keep reading:
So...Who Were The Elohim?
So let's just get right into it....
I'm going to stick to Dr. Michael Heiser's teachings, not Noah's thoughts, ok?
Let's start off with the word "Elohim"....
Clif is right that Elohim is plural (it can also be singular).
What is an Elohim?
Elohim is a term that describes "place of residence". Every member of the spiritual world is an Elohim, but there's ONE who is above all.
Dr. Heiser explains:

What Exactly is an Elohim?

And now what of Yahweh?
"Yahweh is the God of gods." Well, not really, because there aren't any other ones. But again, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense in a lot of passages, but we define monotheism that way. So what my advice to people is, look, dump the terminology. Just describe what a biblical writer would believe about the uniqueness of Yahweh. Biblical writers believed was that there were many elohim. Only one of them is Yahweh. He is unique when it comes to a specific set of attributes. So Yahweh is an elohim, (there's a bunch of those) but no other elohim is Yahweh.

Our Terminology IS NOT Adequate to Describe the God of the Bible

Ok, so that was our terminology lesson...
Clif and Dr. Heiser have a fundamentally different understanding of the word "ELohim" although it is similar in many aspects.
And as I said above, I do think Clif is much closer to the truth of our world than even most Christians who have never read their Bibles to know it is a supernatural book through and through!
So now let's go deeper....
I am borrowing this from Dr. Heiser as well, but he was fond of saying if you ask a modern day person why there is "bad" in the world, they'll point to the Garden of Eden.
True and fair enough.
But if you asked an ancient Israelite, they would point to three events -- three "falls" of the human race: First, the Garden of Eden with the serpent tempting Adam and Even and introducing sin into the world.
But second, they would point to the Genesis 6:4 incursion of the Fallen Angels and the Nephilim that were created -- something we've covered here many times before.
Third, they would point to Deuteronomy 32:8 where God divided up the Nations:
"When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided all mankind, he set up boundaries for the peoples according to the number of the sons of Israel."
Translation: that says God divided up the people of the world into Nations according to the "Sons of God" (i.e. the Principalities that Paul so often talks about in the New Testament).
These are real beings, and they were members of the Divine Council.
More on that in a moment.
Not co-equal gods, but certainly members of God's council (something else almost never taught in church).
If you look at the footnote of the quoted text above, some translations translate it "children of Israel" because they are not comfortable with "Sons of God", it creeps them out.
But look at the footnote Bible Gateway gives you on what the true language is:
Angels of God, or Sons of God.
The "DSS" refers to the Dead Sea Scrolls, which were only recently uncovered and which are widely believed by scholars to be one of the oldest and thus most reliable translations available.
That is the correct translation.
Then read verse 9: "But Israel is the LORD's portion".
In other words, let me sum it all up for you: God is angry with what people have done at Babel. They have not disbursed and spread out on the Earth the way he instructed them, so he divides them up into Nations and he assigns each a ruler -- an Angel or a Son of God.
But God keeps Israel for himself so that in the event all other Nations become corrupt (and they do), he can still fulfill his original plan that he had in the Garden of Eden through Israel.
I hope you're tracking with me, because you're going to see the News in an entirely new light when you understand this.
It's Ephesians 6:12: "12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
I know you've all read that verse many times, but does it make a lot more sense now?
Each Nation does indeed has a ruler over it, a "Principality".
It's Daniel 1013: "But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days; but lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, and I remained there with the kings of Persia."
I'm telling you, this stuff is all over your Bible, and once you start to see it and connect the dots, things come alive!
Now let's really pull it home for you and especially for Clif....
It's Psalm 82:
Psalm 82
A Plea for Justice
A Psalm of Asaph.
1 God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: 2 “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah 3 Give justice to the weak and the orphan; maintain the right of the lowly and the destitute. 4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
5 They have neither knowledge nor understanding; they walk around in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6 I say, “You are gods, children of the Most High, all of you; 7 nevertheless, you shall die like mortals and fall like any prince.”[a]
8 Rise up, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations belong to you!
If anything I have said so far makes you nervous, understand this is ALL in your Bible.
Have you ever read Psalm 82?
It connects with everything I just told you -- and it explains a lot of what Clif is saying.
YHWH takes his place in the Divine Council, in the midst of the gods he holds judgment!
(Also, verse one contains the word "Elohim" used twice in the same sentence, once singular and once plural)
Don't be made at me, I didn't write that....Jesus did! It's in your Bible!
So does that mean we have multiple gods?
No, of course not.
But we do have multiple "Sons of God" that YHWH put on his Divine Council.
And you can't read that to just be the Trinity because in the remainder of the Psalm, these other "gods" (Elohim, simply meaning spiritual beings created by God living in the spiritual realm) they all turn evil and go bad.
Psalm 82 is recounting what happens after Deuteronomy 32.
God assigned the Nations of the world each to one of his members of his Divine Council.
He trusted them to rule fairly and justly but they all turn corrupt.
Sound familiar?
So they face judgment and God/YWHW carries out his original plan through HIS PORTION, which is Israel.
This is why I say in 75% of this Clif is spot on...
Call them "space aliens" or the Fallen Angels / Elohim from the Divine Council, they're one and the same!
And yes, they are mostly evil!
They brought sin and death and destruction to the Earth.
They ruled over us (the Bible tells us that in Psalm 82)...
They ruled unfairly and unjustly!
And they will be punished for it very severely by YHWH.
But that's where Clif's analysis falls apart.
Clif lumps YHWH in with the fallen members of the Divine Council and that is simply not supported by anything in your Bible -- quite to the contrary!
It would be no different than someone observing humanity and seeing people who murder and kill and then saying all of humanity is evil and doomed!
Is that a fair analysis?
Dr. Michael Heiser does it better than I ever could....and so now I want to give you his 4-part "Supernatural Seminar" series.
It will absolutely blow your mind, and it will explain what I just told you above much better than I did.
Dr. Michael Heiser is a real treat and I think you're going to love this.

So there you go....
I'm not going to win a debate with Clif, nor is that my intention with this article.
My intention is simply to introduce you to the wonderful and brilliant teachings of Dr. Michael Heiser and present a counterbalance to anyone who might read what Clif is posting on Twitter...
I used to wonder how the entire world would turn and wage war on Israel, especially after the Holocaust and the severe reaction to it.
The "never again" reaction.
How in the world would that happen again, I always wondered....
But seeing what Clif is posting to Twitter and knowing that the final "space alien" card will soon be played on the world stage, now I see it.
So I post this to help as many people as possible along the way.
Do not fall for the Grand Delusion!
I'll wrap up by giving you my most recent conversation with Bo Polny where he talks about being suddenly attacked by Clif on Twitter:
Bo Polny Attacked By Clif High On Twitter
I was going to say that Bo Polny and Clif High are engaged in a vicious fight on Twitter, but I don't really think that's accurate.
It can't really be a "fight" when it's all one sided.
And that's what seemingly happened this week as Clif High "sucker-punched" Bo Polny on Twitter.
Why?
For his faith in Jesus Christ.
Sad to see so much anger coming out of Clif.
Here is one such Tweet where he plainly states "no more kindness" and then references the "Elohim Worship cult":
So at this stage, and going into next year, there is no kindness in being gentle with people who are trapped (unknowingly) in the Elohim Worship cult.
Humanity simply does not have the luxury of time.@bopolny will be compelled to see the ELohim at the core of Christianity…
