President Donald Trump’s victory in November was at least in part a repudiation of the woke policies that have penetrated practically every aspect of American culture in recent years.
One example has been the spread of so-called “trigger warnings,” which can refer to any advisory that an upcoming presentation might cause emotional or mental distress.
While there are sure to be many examples of objectionable content that might deserve such warnings, many Americans have expressed opposition to their inclusion at the beginning of classic films like Disney’s “Dumbo” and “Peter Pan.”
According to TheBlaze, Disney appears to have received the message and has removed trigger warnings from both films on its Disney+ streaming platform:
Seems the Mouse House is having second thoughts about its “go woke, go broke” business plan.
We can still watch classic ‘The Office’ episodes like ‘Diversity Day.’ Never mind that you could never make that episode now … at least it’s not banned. Progress!
The company, according to Axios, is dialing back on DEI-style policies and focusing more on the bottom line. Imagine that.
Even more shocking? Disney’s signature streaming service will no longer force subscribers to watch a trigger warning before enjoying some of its classic films.

Disney is just one of several major corporations that responded to Trump’s election by announcing a rollback of controversial policies that commonly fall under the “woke” umbrella:

Mega woke company Apple just put out a completely non-woke, pro-family ad.
Trump won and they seem to have gotten the message. At least for this one.

Companies that have continued to embrace DEI and other woke concepts are increasingly facing boycott threats:

The Daily Mail also reported on Disney’s latest changes:
The American entertainment giant becomes the latest to quietly tweak disclaimers on its decades-old films featuring themes of racism or relying on ethnic stereotypes in the wake of US President Donald Trump‘s return to the White House.
Tech behemoths Google and Meta, which owns Instagram and Facebook, and retail powerhouse Amazon have all relaxed elements of their own diversity schemes in recent weeks after President Trump signed an executive order ending ‘radical and wasteful’ state DEI programs as a signal of his stance on culture wars.
Disney is reported to be watering down its current disclaimers about ‘negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures’ in favour of the milder warnings on some of its films.
Those currently carrying autoplay warnings include the Jungle Book, a 1967 adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s novel criticised for its depiction of the ape King Louie, Dumbo, the 1941 picture which references to racist segregationist laws in the deep south and uses affected African-American voices, and 1953’s Peter Pan, which featured contentious depictions of Native American Indians.
But they will soon be accompanied by shortened descriptions stating simply ‘This programme is presented as originally created and may contain stereotypes or negative depictions,’ it was reported.
Here’s a clip from less than five years ago covering Disney’s decision to add the controversial trigger warnings:
