Sarah Huckabee Sanders became an international figure as the top White House spokesperson for a stint during President Donald Trump’s first term.
Now that Trump has returned to the Oval Office, Sanders is still defending the Trump agenda — but now it’s from the governor’s mansion in Arkansas.
She recently appeared on Fox News, where the topic of discussion turned to the left’s all-out attack on the president’s top agenda items despite their widespread popularity across the American public.
Sanders sought to expose the roots of this perceived desperation, as Fox News reported:
Democrats have been criticized in recent weeks over bold stances against the president’s policies. On Tuesday, the Worcester City Council in Massachusetts voted to become the first sanctuary city for transgender and gender-diverse Americans.
Other Democrats have received backlash for speaking out — often in vulgar terms and in protest songs performed off-key — against Elon Musk’s efforts to work with the Trump administration to eliminate wasteful spending through DOGE.
“All that I see when I’m watching these desperate political stunts is a reminder of how thankful I am that Donald Trump is in the White House,” Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders told “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Wednesday. “Honestly, it is sad and laughable what is taking place and just shows how out-of-touch the woke left really is.”
Sanders said after Democrats lost “so badly” in November, one would think their tactics would change, but they don’t.

Of course, she is far from the only person who has castigated the Democratic Party for pursuing a far-left social agenda that has been rejected by a resounding majority of the country:
Democrats are doubling down on the same failed policies that they lost with in 2024. As long as they continue to focus on radical woke ideology, they will continue to lose. President Trump and Republicans will continue to fight for every American family and community. pic.twitter.com/kIvuXwMaVR

.@KellyannePolls: “The Democratic Party right now: every day they wake up, it’s still January 6th, 2021 on the calendar, they get in an electric vehicle, they go get an abortion. You’re out of touch with the public. This election was a rejection of wokeness.” pic.twitter.com/KUAvn8Tx96

This is why the democrats lost the election. Because they are full of woke nonsense! pic.twitter.com/yyiZw0FMSO

Sanders has been busy in her own right thus far in her first term as Arkansas governor, as CPAC detailed in a statement announcing that she has been added as one of the annual conservative conference’s speakers this year:
Since taking office in 2023, Governor Sanders has enacted education, public safety, and tax reform. Notably, she enacted Arkansas LEARNS, which championed school choice and parental rights in education. Within her first hundred days of taking office, she gave a response to former President Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address. Before serving as Governor, she served in the Department of Education under the Bush administration and as the Press Secretary for President Donald Trump from 2017 to 2019.
Here’s a clip of her recent appearance on “Jesse Watters Primetime”:
