REPORT: Ilhan Omar’s Close Friend Goes on Record, Confirms She Has Been Gaming The System

The rumors have been there for years — that ‘Squad’ Rep. Ilhan Omar married her brother in order to illegally get him into the United States.

Multiple investigations and plenty of evidence has concluded that she probably did.

But now, for the first time, one of her friends has come forward and is telling the story on the record.

And what a story!

Abdihakim Osman went on the record with the Daily Mail, confirming what we all suspected.

Ilhan Omar did, in fact, commit immigration fraud by “marrying” her brother to get him into the United States.

Osman revealed that because Somalia was war-torn and more or less a no-man’s land, there was very little paperwork.

That served Omar’s purpose, because it meant there was no paperwork verifying that Elmi was her brother.

And according to a report in the Daily Mail, that freed Omar up to marry him in order to bring him to the United States.

Abdihakim Osman is the first person to go on record to speak of how Omar said she wanted to get her brother papers so he could stay in the United States, at a time when she was married to her first husband Ahmed Hirsi.

But hardly anyone realized that meant marrying him.

‘No one knew there had been a wedding until the media turned up the marriage certificate years later,’ Osman, 40, exclusively told DailyMail.com.

Osman’s revelations are sure to renew calls for an investigation into the Minnesota freshman representative who has repeatedly refused to answer questions on her marriage to Elmi.

It has long been rumored that Omar and Elmi are brother and sister.

But because of a lack of paperwork in war-torn Somalia where they were both born, positive proof of their relationship has never been uncovered.

The New York Post reported last month that the FBI was investigating the marriage and had met with a source in Minneapolis who handed over ‘a trove of documents’ related to the marriage.

Any findings were to be shared with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the US Department of Education, the paper reported. Anyone found guilty of committing marriage fraud faces up to five years in jail and a fine of up to $250,000.

Besides the friend coming forward, we knew from an investigation years ago — detailed here by Tucker Carlson when he was still on Fox News — that Elmi was in fact Omar’s brother.

As it turns out, two full years before Tucker Carlson’s revelations…

Glenn Beck (long gone from Fox) laid out the story — with documentation — showing that Elmi was in fact her brother!

Omar’s friend, Abdihakim Osman, said Omar and Elmi immediately moved to Fargo, North Dakota after the marriage.

Being husband and wife, they both qualified for student loans, according to the previously referenced article in the Daily Mail:

After their marriage Omar and Elmi moved to Fargo, where they both attended North Dakota State. But Omar and Hirsi were still together as husband and wife, Osman said.

‘She said she needed to get papers for her brother to go to school. We all thought she was just getting papers together to allow him to stay in this country.

‘Once she had the papers they could apply for student loans.

‘They both moved to North Dakota to go to school but she was still married to [Hirsi]. In the Somali way, the only marriage that mattered was the one in the mosque.

‘Ilhan came back to Minneapolis all the time to see her family, but her brother didn’t come with her.’

Osman believes Elmi and Omar sought out someone outside the Somali community to conduct the ceremony because an imam would have known they were related and would have refused to marry them.

Omar and Elmi eventually divorced in 2017 and she remarried Hirsi — with whom she had a third child — in a civil ceremony the following year, just in time for her election to Congress.

Although Omar long denied that Elmi was actually her brother, she told the truth to her friends.

And we now know that while Omar denied the immigration fraud here in the US, those in the Somali community in Minneapolis knew what was going on — long before she was a political figure, according to a report in the Western Journal:

According to a report in the U.K. Daily Mail, sources confirm Omar told friends that her “second husband” was actually her brother and that the marriage was a scam to get him immigration papers.

Furthermore, one of these friends told the outlet that the relationship was a major scandal in Minneapolis’ Somali community when it happened, long before Omar became a major political figure.

Omar has long denied the marriage was a scam or that the two were related, and political media have called conservatives who brought attention to the unusual arrangement conspiracy theorists, bigots, or both.

However, Abdihakim Osman — a friend of Omar’s first/third husband (this is complicated stuff, so bear with us) — says that it was well-known that the relationship was a scam.

The worst part is that when the investigation was ready to come forward several years ago on the part of some independent guys trying to get at the truth…

Who shows up and spoils the show?

The FBI, of course.

Is this another case of the FBI knowing the truth, but hiding it for some unknown reason?

Will the FBI be held accountable for covering up clear immigration fraud?

And is there any chance Omar will be indicted for the fraud?

According to that Tucker Carlon interview, the FBI decided that the statute of limitations had long since run out — so the answer is no.

Bear in mind, there is no statute of limitations on immigration fraud.

I have a feeling as the threads get pulled and begin to come unraveled with all the corrupt entanglements in Washington DC, sooner or later… the truth might just come across the desk of the right person, in the right administration.

Say, for instance, someone in the Trump administration — who actually cares about the law, and justice, and maintaining our national security.

If there’s ever a time for the corrupt to finally run headlong into the justice they deserve… it’s now.
